Advantages: Wireless, small, easy to use and set up, no lag

This is a very useful accessory if your router and Xbox 360 are in different rooms or floors and the ethernet cable cannot reach. It's a shame it's not built in like the PS3's WiFi, however, as the price may put you off but it is cheaper now (around £35-40).

It is dual band 5.0GHz and 2.4 GHz and is compatible of A, B and G networks so that connection problems are minimised. I haven't had any problems with lag and I'm quite far away from my router so don't worry about that. Connecting by wired is more stable than wireless but you really won't notice it on Xbox Live.

Installing the device in order to connect to your network and Live is very easy. First, you need to plug the adaptor in the back of the 360 in the correct port. After this, type in the WEP key of your router so that it is allowed access to the internet. This is usually printed on the side of the router if you do not know it. Once this is complete it should connect automatically to Xbox Live, as well as allowing you to stream media from your PC and download from the Marketplace. The adaptor itself matches the 360 colour scheme like all the accessories but it doesn't really matter anyway because you can't see it due to being on the back of the console. It's pretty small and unnoticeable.

Summary: Xbox Live is the best thing about the 360 so don't hesitate to get this if you need it
