Advantages: Very easy to install and efficient at what it does!

Disadvantages: Very pricey for what it is really!

For all you Xbox live lovers who dont quite have a cable thats long enough to reach your router....your answer is here in the form of the usb Xbox wireless adapter!

This little usb device simply connects straight into the usb port on the back of your xbox and is instantly recognised and ready to go! The only thing you really have to do is go into the network settings of your xbox and select which network it is you wish to connect to! (a network with a password will require you to type that in before you can connect.)

The wireless adapter is Dual band 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz Wireless A/B/G home network compatible meaning that you should run into very few problems when trying to use the device!

The unit itself requires no external power suply and is simply powered by the xbox itself!

Not only does this device allow you to access xbox live wirelessly but it also allows you to stream images, music and video from your XP media center (found on most new windows vista computers) meaning that instead of trying to transfer files from place to place to watch them through your xbox, you can simply connect to your pc and stream as simply as that!

This device does exactly what it says on the box and is great for people with their routers in different rooms but there are some things about it that concern me......

First of all should it really exist? when sony released the highly awaited playstation 3 it already came with in built wireless technology meaning not having to by any extras to get to what you want! Surely a company as large in the computing industry as microsoft would have thought of this?

Secondly.....why so expensive? i could go out now and buy a decent wireless adapter from a shop which would give me computer the exact sae addons but for around £10, this device costs now around £35 and this is a reduced price from when it first came out!? why so much more expensive just because it matches the colour of your xbox? But microsoft being microsoft have cleverly made the xbox simply say no to any other wireless device other then their own......money, money, money........

Overall a great device that works quickly and efficiently but i cant help but think its price ruins its appeal!

Summary: Great device if you dont mind forking out for it!
