Advantages: Does its job

MS though sell the xbox for a lot cheaper than the PS3 have you buying inflated extra equipment which in the end make your budget gaming experience as expensive as the PS3. Multiplayer is a huge part of gaming and the xbox 360 is no different with its well done xbox live system. However out of the box the only option for connectivity is via the network cable from your router to the console. This is ok in some instances but when the two are far apart you dont want network cable up and down your stairs.

As my console was in my bedroom I had difficulty in connecting it due to my router being miles away in the living room. I even tried to connect my xbox to my laptop via cable and using the laptops wireless as a bridge of sorts. However the connection was poor and in the end had to invest in one of these.

The network adapter itself is a very small piece of equipment that fits in nice and snugly at the back of the console. Its range is very good and once you set it up you will never have to come back to it. Unfortunately at 60£ a piece it really isnt worth the price considering network adapters being very cheap pieces of equipment. This is clearly MS way of getting in more money but since they have the only equipment for this huge market theres no choice.

Definetely not worth 60£ but theres nothing multiplayer xbox fans can do.
