Advantages: Fast connection speed, ADSL 2+ compatible, Wireless N compatible, Long Range

Disadvantages: No gigabit ethernet.

The Netgear DGN2000 is an Wireless N (draft) compatible wireless and ethernet router. It is also an ASDL modem, even compatible with ASDL 2+, supporting speeds up 24mbs (and possibly greater) so you shouldnt need to buy a new modem if you upgrade your connection.
Installation:
Installation was pretty simple. Just insert the CD and plug in the router. Most the settings are entered automatically, leave you just to enter your username and password, afterwhich your ready to go.
However setting up the router for wireless use is a tad more complex if you have no previous knowledge, although the setup program simplifies things immensely.

There are a few nagging issues with the router, considering its price and its advertised features.
Firstly the wiureless connection is unreliable with my Nokia E63, although I am not sure which product the fault lies with.
Secondly, as the Ethernet ports are not Gigabit (limited to 100mbs), the advertised 300mbs streaming/data tranfer speed is unachievable unless both computers are connected wirelessly.

Other than that the router is pretty good. It is extremely reliable with multiple computers and copes well when transferring large files. The network speed is also reasonable and it supports a wide range of security features including DMZ, Mac Address limiting, WPA2/WPA/WEP with PSK and a nice Push to Connect feature which does away with entering long keys. I strongly recommend you buy this router with the WN111v2 usb adapter or the wireless card to take advantage of the feature set. If you wont be using Wireless N, then I don't recommend buying this router, due to its price and other products available.

The wireless range is pretty long, but it seems to be greatly reduced by walls and floors, so bear this in mind.

Summary: All in all its a good buy, as long as you will use some of the features it offers.
