Ninja Gaiden 2 (Xbox 360)
by deco2009 Ninja Gaiden is a hack and slash game on xbox360, it the sequel to the original game which came out on the 360 and brought life to the franchise. The same story of the first game continues but at the same time it makes no sense and I actually thought the first one was. You travel to many cool locations around the world and I ... feel it's less concentrated about the storyline. The cut scenes are feel are there to just fill in the gap between the action, the whole point about this game it's all about action, the formulae from the first game is the same but it's been peered down to the action core. This game is about speed and bore there is very little plat forming, the design is still the same you move from one bloody contest to the next, it begins with the dragon sword the simple blade which only has a few moves that you can use again, there are many combo's to unlock as well as eight different melee weapons and a ton of projectiles, there is so much depth to this game which you rarely find in actions games, this game requires patience as it's the toughest game yet even on the easiest difficulty level I struggled but at the same its challenging and feels rewarding, like when the bad guys are beaten you to the ground it means you're not good enough so you need to work on the game more, Once you improve in the game you find out you can dish out killer moves on your enemies in spectacular style. This is one the bloodiest game I have ever experienced just so much blood everywhere, like when you chop up your enemies you will see their body parts spilling on the floor and the blood bursting everywhere including on you. The battles are hard like even if you take the enemies leg they will still carry on fighting with one leg, the finishing moves are awesome and done to perfection the way they kill the enemies. Ninja Gaiden I think is similar to the first game which I like as it was one of the best games, the action has been improved and feels more brutal and bloody and the game will give you a challenge that you haven't experience before trust me. Ninja Gaiden 2 (Xbox 360)
by DoILikeit2323 Ninja Gaiden 2 starts off well. You have control of a rock hard Ninja up against hordes of demonic enemy ninjas and monsters. Your character can run on walls, somersault up shafts, and take on 20 enemies at a time. And then you realise how bad the games camera angle system is. This is a game where you spend most the ... time playing "guess where the ninja is". Most of your enemies will be lobbing shuriken at you and be about 50 feet away all around you. and none of them will be in your line of sight. To say this is irritating is like saying a wasp in a jar next to your head is irritating. Early on this doesn't stop you from playing, just makes things niggling. And then the difficulty level spikes when you take on a monster tarantula. You spend your time fighting to actually keep the enemy in view, rather than just enjoying the game. You could conceivably get through the game by trying again and again. But I actually have a social life, so I'm not spending 3 hours trying to beat something that should have been better designed in the first place. Read the complete review |

Ninja Gaiden 2 (Xbox 360)
by yourock666 First of all I want to say sorry if I'll harm any Ninja Gaiden fans, I have played this game for some time, and I regret that I've payed 40 quid for it in this review I will be honest about this game. This game is Hack'n'Slash type of game, and there is lot's of battles in which you need to fight with all kind of different enemies. ... Every enemy have some abilities that makes the battles more challenging, you can't just run straight and swing your sword all around, the game makes you to jump as some crazy freak and make all different types of kick ass combos but that's what being a ninja is about. There are plenty of nice looking moves that you can do, but with some time you get bored with them, then you need to join them in pretty advanced combos, but when you master that, then again it gets boring. Few type of weapons is helping this game really much, adding the choice of which weapon you like the best, during the game you can improve them to be even more deadly. The story plot for me is disappointing a little bit, some guy attacks your village, steal some artifact that will open some kind of hell doors or something like that, and then you just run through the game kill enemies and fight bosses, for me the story is poor and boring, but for Hack'n'Slash games story should not matter. Graphics are nothing special as well; the level design team was having really bad days designing them as they look poor and simple, no details of whatsoever!! Characters look well, but could have much more details, comparing this game to games like Gears of War is like heaven and hell, Xbox can deal with much better graphics than those seen in this game. Team Ninja have add lots of blood splashing all around when you fight, and the body parts of your opponents fly around making it look like you're the kitchen mixer and they are some kind of strawberries or something, it's nice feature but probably something gone wrong with the script or something and sometimes the game get's stuck and you loose the orientation as the camera goes crazy in the same moment. Camera is almost ok, only sometimes during the battle you can loose orientation because of it (not only when game gets stuck) instead of seeing battlefield you see your back. The audio is full of screaming from pain enemies, sound's of blades cutting enemies in pieces and some more, but still the same. After hour of playing I've needed to switch extra music to continue playing. Ninja Gaiden 2 is a good game for Hack'n'Slash and Ninja Gaiden maniacs. Game is challenging, so advanced players might like it as well. But if you like to enjoy yourself playing, and you play games on easy better don't waste your money on this game because you won't finish it. Read the complete review |
