Newest Review: ... me thinking that the series had disappeared then come back nearly two decades later! A-Train is HX basically a really ... more  ... souped-up version of this game. Yes, the graphics have been updated to fully immersive (and actually quite impressive) 3D, but the concept remains the same - build up your railway to expand your city by transporting people and the little cubes that are classed as resources.
A-Train HX is quite a relaxed game, and real train buffs might be a little disappointed at the lack of detail - that's just a guess though, I have very little knowledge of trains, but this game presents some quite simple gameplay.

The original A Train was a game I got on my 286 PC, around 15 years ago, because it didn't have enough RAM to run Sim City 2000 (it needed 4mb!!!) So as you can imagine, when I noticed Artdink's A-Train on the shelves of my local Gamestation, I was hit by a wave of extreme nostalgia. I've since found out that there have actually been several other A-Train games released since the original title - there's me thinking that the series had disappeared then come back nearly two decades later!
