Advantages: The graphics, the free movement, the history the list goes on

Disadvantages: Lack of variety

Watching the videos of this game at E3 it had so much going for it. For a start, as everyone knows, playing an assassin is cool, in this game we're playing as the people the name assassins arrives from, so instantly it gains extra cool points for that.

We all know the game never turned out the way we were told it would. It had it's fault, namely that once you had done the first set of missions, you had seen all the game had to offer in that respect.

People have to see what the game gave that was good. Probably the best animation of a character I ever seen. The crowd interaction was brilliant, they way you could push past, the villages actually felt crowded and claustrophobic.

Also the fact all the main characters were based on real people that did actually die in that year, the towns were created from the information known about them back at the time of the crusades.

The running and climbing was like nothing we had ever seen before.

This game was the start of a new franchise, and offered a great starting point. Well worth the buy for £20 or less.

Summary: for all it's faults, worth a purchase
