      Very helpful

Amazing game of the year with a number of famous batman faces that is totally addictive!

There are a number of steel book editions available for Arkham Asylum - which all vary on where you live and where you can find them on line and in store; as for me personally I could only get hold of the joker steel book edition, which is exactly the same as the catwoman edition in respect to you get your hands on two downloadable content codes within the book where you can have additional catwoman missions, maps, trophies as well as ones for the joker.

There are more readily available now that the game has been out for a while and has almost halved in price so it's even more of a delight to buy. I am a die hard batman fan and purchased it full price at midnight on the date of it's release, I actually regret nothing and I've enjoyed every minute and every penny spent on it.

Regardless of whether you played the first game (Arkham Asylum) or not, you can get straight into the story line and become addicted within the first millisecond of game play. In comparison to arkham asylum (lets call it AA from now on) the graphics have been truly and utterly improved to a shockingly beautiful degree. Whilst some people remain biased on the concept that the quality of graphics are not what makes a game, it definitely plays a major part in Arkham City as everything holds great realism and crisp, clean and striking images - even though everything is dark, solemn and depressing in the surrounding areas.

The graphics and the characterization impressed me whole heartedly. I was blown away at how detailled everything was, how fast the loading times were (which of course can be improved even more so when you copy the game to your xbox for faster loading times, but there really is no need with this one!) There is a number of different locations around the city and a huge handful of missions and side missions to complete which feature a variety of the classic comic book villains such as dead shot, bane, two face, penguin, Dr Freeze, poison ivy, harley quinn, the joker and a lot more but i'll leave you all to find that one out. All are fighting against you and eventually find some way of fighting each other in their quests to gain power, money and destroy Gotham for good and get rid of batman.

There is also a handful of additional new gadgets for batman that previously weren't available in AA, there is also an additional set of fighting manoeuvres and batman outfits to choose from once you have completed a certain amount of the game. Once these outfits become available you can then choose one of the classic batman looks; from the old school adam west grey and blue to the red and black batman which is always fun to have when you decide to play the game over again at another difficulty (trust me, you'll want to, I have on several occasions!)

What's more is that I got a delightful surprise when I saw Robin finally appear in the game. He has been re vamped and looks pretty badass with his new attire and muscular build; far from the nerdy boy wonder with equally nerdy catch phrases. If you haven't seen it already, you'll enjoy the surprise.

It's better if you buy the game brand new as you can have the additional downloadable content maps and characters that you wouldn't be able to get hold of with a second hand game as they are only valid for one use. This isn't much of an issue as I have seen the steel book editions go for a similarly low price to those second hand ones on eBay and game shops.

There are a number of steel book character designs to choose from; Catwoman, two face, the joker, robin, night wing and penguin. All of which provide different downloadable contents depending on which one you purchase - it's probably a good idea to google about it before you buy it if you're that fussed about what you get, but don't worry all DLC is available on the xbox live market place for a few hundred points a piece. There is also a brand new downloadable content level called "Harley Quinns Revenge" which became available on May 29th and the preview trailer can be found on youtube, which to be honest, it blew my mind. so that's even more of a reason to buy it!
