The good thing about this game is that the age is over 3's so it is one that all the family can play. The game is by sega and costs £11.77 new on amazon, I think this is a bit much as the game gets dull quickly but if you can pick it up used for £5 or less it's worth adding to the collection. There are 10 sports you can ... Read the complete review

I got this game for my birthday and i was ressonably happy with it to begin with. I enjoyed playing through the olympic games competting in the various events but i do think that the actual olympic games mode could be alot longer as it does not take long to complete it. Beijing 2008 is made by sega, you can play it on any of the following (xbox 360, ps3 pc and on you mobile phone.) Its aimed at any person over the ages of 3 and above i think taht this is stupid and should be 12 and above because the game is much to hard for anyone under the age of 12. I am fifteen and some of the events are ... Read the complete review

Beijing Olympics 2008, for xbox 360, is a waste of money. On the 100m, you have to press A and B alternatively. However even how quick you do it, the game doesn't seem to actually know your doing it. Therefore you're really far behind the other opponents at the end of the race. If you did it really quickly though, it would probably work ... Read the complete review

I own Beijing 2008 for the PS3 and I think it is absolutely brilliant. I am a fan of most sports and I bought this game simply because it was the Olympics last year. There have been a distinc lack of athletics game which I feel is a shame and not since Track and Field on the PS1 has there been a decent title but this is the best. ... Read the complete review

I was given this game as part of an XBOX 360 bundle for my birthday from my partner who wanted me to get involved with some of the games he played. Previously, I had played a similar Olympics game on the Nintendo Wii and I enjoyed the concept of many playable events with different movements to succeed. However, I never ... This game is a great example of some of the money snatching game developers out there at the moment. This really is shocking from Sega- they have all the power of the xbox at their fingertips and in Beijing Olympics they produce a very tired feeling game. The main problem with this is two fold. Firstly the graphics are ... Read the complete review

Remember 'Track and Field'? Probably the first game to be released in the genre known as 'button bashing', surprisingly it set the template for athletics games for years to come. Beijing 2008 is of course based on last years Olympic games, and is a selection of 38 mini games... cough... I mean, 'events', including running, ... Read the complete review

Does what it says on the tin really, it is a game that you would expect to get when coming up to a major event such as the olympics. The single player game was enjoyable but was frustrating at times as you had to achieve a lot on most of the events to get to the next stage which was sometimes near impossible. Very satisfying ... Even though I am a big fan of the Olympics I didn't really want to buy this game. That is until I played it at a friends house. Even then I still didn't really want to buy it, but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to get it. So I did. The career mode is quite fun to play through. Each day you have around 6 events ... Read the complete review

This game is really good and eventful. It is a really fun way to play the olympics and not like the original where you just tap two buttons for every event. For example; On the swimming you have to turn one of the toggle buttons one way and the other toggle button th other way to make your olympic person swim. You then have to tap ... In the past, Olympic games are full of button bashing and boring gameplay. This doesn't change much but for the 2008 Beijing edition SEGA do try to add a few more choices in this year's edition. In some game types you can use the triggers instead and this provides a fantastic alternative. With 32 different events you will not get ... Read the complete review

Well, at least it's slightly better than the Champions League editions of FIFA. ho knew that qualifying for the Olympics could be so difficult? The problem with athletic games is trying to master what happens in real life on a game. Like all games of this nature to succeed you need to do a bit of button mashing, sounds like fun I know but the truth is it isn't.
