=== The Game. ===

Like every other EA game, There's a Burnout game released basically every year around christmas. Although, these games actually do have improvements, and aren't just churned out to make EA more money.

This version sees one of the biggest changes in the franchises history with everything from previous games having some change in design to try to make a more entertaining experience. The biggest of these is instead of having the option to choose your races from a menu screen, you have to drive around and search for races, which has its good points and bad points. Such as if you fail a race, you cannot simply pause and restart it, which means you have to drive all the way back to beable to re-race.

There's roughly 75 cars to unlock by working your way up the ranks and crashing peoples cars. Which are then sent to your tip.

The game has a newly designed crash mode, which is now called 'Showtime'. You can start this whenever you want by simply pressing the LB and RB buttons simultaniously and then bouncing about tapping a to use a little boost to get further, and for each car you hit your boost meter gradiually increases.

=== My Opinion. ===

I rented this game to see how it was before I decided to buy it. I'm not normally the type to play racing games but I'd played Burnout Revenge also on the Xbox 360, and really enjoyed every minute of it.

So once I heard that there was a new one being released I was looking forward to it. And I wasn't too dissapointed but there was a few things I didn't like much, such as the fact you have to drive about looking for races, not very easy to get used to map/gps system and no proper crash mode from previous titles.

But the good points are that the city is pretty large, the graphics are really good and the crashes look amazing, the races are good once you actually find them, but each race is like the sprint mode from other games in the series in which you race just one lap instead of multiple. The new crash mode isn't bad but takes away the fun from the previous games because it isn't a event that gives you mark on your license, (Which in turn gives you a better license class and faster and better cars to unlock.).

I never tried the game online which most people I have spoke to say is excellent. Overall I think it's a very good game, but I preferred Burnout Revenge which you can get from most places now for £20 or less.

4 out of 5 stars.

Summary: Not as good as Revenge, But Still Playable.
