Advantages: huge, fun, free dlc

Disadvantages: I want to restart a race!

It's a racing game, but unlike any other. You don't progress from one race to another as in other games. You begin in a completely open city with all races (and other challanges) open to you from the off. As you drive around, you hit a junction and a challange will show on the screen. You hit your bumper buttons to play it. There are all sorts of challenges, a simple race from a to b is just the beginning, how about a race where you win by knocking as many other cars off the road as possible, or one where they're all out to get you and you has to survive getting from a to b.
Firstly, it's beautiful...a year old, and you won't find much better graphics. Secondly, it's huge, thanks to massive chunks of free downloads (motorbikes, new bits of city) I'm still playing this a year on.
The only real problem is the lack of a restart button. If you race from one side of the city to another and lose then there is no way of automatically returning to the start.
Minor point though. Best racer on the 360 says I.
