Advantages: Excellent Free-Roam racer, Great online
Disadvantages: Price of some DLC
Today I will be reviewing Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box for the Xbox 360.
The original game came out on the 5th of January 2008 and the Ultimate box came out on February 5th 2009. I bought the ultimate box in March 09 for £27.99 new and I noticed the original for £19.99 preowned (2 for £30) in gamestation.

Burnout Paradise is a free-roam racing game made by criterion games.
Extra with Ultimate Box
Bikes Pack - Get the bikes to use in paradise city
Party Pack - An offline multiplayer mode where up to 8 players can take part in challenges using the same controller
Codename packs - Extra cars and online events
Cars
It has 75 cars not including downloaded content and also some bikes. There is 3 types of boost for the 75 main cars which are:
Speed - you need a full boost bar to execute and if you use the whole boost in one go you get burnouts
Stunt - Can use no matter how full bar is and is filled by doing stunt like actions I.E Drifts
Aggression - Can also use no matter who full and is filled by doing aggressive actions I.E takedowns
There is also a few more boost options but you need to download the cars to use them.
Burnout License
In paradise city you get a licence which as you complete events gets upgraded the various levels are
D - Complete 2 events
C - Complete 7 events
B - Complete 16 events
A - Complete 26 events
Burnout - Complete 45 events
Elite - Complete 110 events
Events
To start an event is Paradise City you drive up to a set of traffic lights and hold RT and LT which starts the event specific to those lights.
In burnout Paradise there are 4 types of events these are:
Race - A normal event where you try and beat the other cars
Marked Man - Try to get to the finish without being taken out to many times by the other cars
Road Rage - Get as many takedowns on the cars there is a target and a time limit which is increased with each take down
Stunt Run - Get as many stunt points as you can within the time limit you get these by doing jumps, drifts, boosting and loads more stuff. You also get multipliers which you get by doing long jumps hitting billboards or going over super-jumps.
Online
Burnout is also an online free-roam game which you can play with up to 8 players just driving around trying to bear each other's oncoming ,drift length, air time ETC or doing challenges and races.
There is also various Downloadable Content which you can pay for this includes new cars and soon a new part to the island. These vary from 160 Microsoft points per car to 1000 for a pack.
Xbox Live Vision camera
In an online game you can use the vision camera so that when you beat someone else's best road time it takes a smug shot of you can sends it to the other player. It will also do the same if they take you down it will take a picture of you looking annoyed.
You can also use the vision camera to take a photo of yourself for the Burnout Driving license.
Achievements
As it's the Xbox 360 version you can get the 1000 achievement points as well as an extra 50 for getting the ultimate box. These achievements are a mixture of online and offline. The extra 50 is from the add on Party Pack.
