Disadvantages: World War Two again

I got this title about 3 months ago and have played it quite a lot in that as it is a good game and played for roughly 1 and a half days!

The game is great but not fantastic. The main problem is with this game is that there are hundreds of World War Two games and people want something different apart from Nazis and Hitler. They should make games based on other wars like modern ones and even World War One.
I do really only play the game online as it is brilliant online as I don't really like the story mode that much.

The game online is really good and a massive number of people play the game all the time. There are normally thousands of people online so you will not have to search for long to play online! I normally have about 1/3 of the people on my friends list playing this game whenever I am online which is a massive amount considering how many games there are!

The maps are quite good and have elements for people who play in different ways. All the maps can be used for sniping or just running in with a machine gun but some are better than others for certain methods. For example I hate sniping as I am rubbish and always get sniped when trying to kill someone else so like maps like Dome which is very small where basically you run about like a headless chicken shooting everyone and don`t even have time to throw grenades! There are 3 map packs which you can buy at the moment though there is talk of a fourth one which each have 4 maps - 3 multiplayer maps and one Nazi Zombies one!

The online play is very addictive and there are lots of different modes to keep you occupied you can play in Team Deathmatch, free for all, headquarters, domination, search and destroy and many others! To keep you playing you unlock better stuff as you advance by killing people, perfoming certain tasks e.t.c and completing challenges and unlock things like new weapons, perks, upgrades to help you and keep you playing. For example you unlock a flamethrower at level 65 as a perk but may unlock aperture sight for a weapon for getting 100 kills with it! This is what makes the online mode so great and exciting.

Another new and fun feature is Nazi Zombies. This is similar to Horde and Firefight now where you fight off waves of Zombies with friends or online or even on your own. This mode is good fun but I personally don`t like it that much and find it gets boring after a while but some people love it and it is a good addition to the game. The new maps add lots of new features like traps, zip wires and upgrading machines and are a lot better than the original map included with the game. There are also now tanks on online play which are quite good but can be destroyed with the correct equipment!

The other mode is the campaign which can be played single player, co-op or over Xbox Live. The campaign has two sections Russian and American (not like they fought in the whole war is it!) There are various levels to play it on and most of the achievements revolve around completing levels on the campaign on veteran difficulty e.t.c

The graphics in the game are really good but some parts of the games have glitches which are annoying normally! There is a bit of blood and gore and some limbs do fly off which is nice but this can be turned off if you are a wimp!

Overall this is a great game but is based on a bad time period as it has been covered so much. It is well worth getting but I am looking forward to Modern Warfare 2.

This game is currently available for £35 at Amazon but I am sure could be bought for cheaper now or soon as I got mine £25 off the internet a few months ago!
