Advantages: Great gameplay, good graphics and sounds, lots of different events

Disadvantages: Too similar to other McRae games, quite easy

Colin McRae: DiRT is the latest in the long line of Colin McRae branded games (it's such a shame that he's no longer around to enjoy them with us) and this one is similar to the other ones in basic format: you race rally cars at impossibly high speeds around a low-friction track (such as a dirt one), trying to finish in the best time.

DiRT has added a few other features, and you no longer have to race simple rally cars: trucks etc are now available to race. You can also race on tarmac, which makes for a nice change.

Career mode consists of many different ralleys, such as the classic rally cross, but also hill climbs among other things.

The graphics of the game are very good, and I think that the developers have captured the engine note very well (unlike other racing game manufacturers). The actual gameplay is much like other McRae racing games, and is very good (although in my opinion sliding your car around corners is a little too easy in the game!).

Overall this is a good game that is well worth buying if you're into games of this sort of genre.
