"If In Doubt, Flat Out", the late Colin McRae's most memorable quote of his career.

The Colin Mcrae games have been around for years, I used to play them on the Playstation 1 and will never forget the abnormality of being off the track, going through gates and dirt tracks and racing in the snow, through fords, something no other rally game could compete with.

Colin McRae DIRT really lived up to it's expectations and set yet another benchmark for any other rally game to compete with.

The game is all about getting from A to B in the quickest time possible. Handbrake turns round hairpin bends, narrow bridges, being on two wheels, wheel spins out of turns, driving into tree's and HUGE jumps are just the norm in this game.

The game is fast, really fast! You need 100% concentration to play this game so tell your partner and kids to be quiet, or lock yourself in a dark room to appreciate the quality graphics and gameplay this game delivers.

The only challenge in this game is the clock and yourself. You have to beat the clock, time's are set from the competitors which you want to beat. Play safe, or play aggressive, the overall leaderboard will tell you the results.

The handling as per usual is immense, great simulation of physics and they have really got the oversteer right this time. Braking too early or too late results in the wheels locking or losing precious time, hitting a bump will lose control and you even notice a difference between dirt and tarmac.

The graphics are utterly breathtaking! As the stages progress your car gets dirtier, windows crack, bumpers fall off and when you roll your car upside down and your RADIATOR falls out, you know you've done something wrong! I like the fact codemasters have spent time making the crowds and surrounding envrionment something special too, not just the typical V-Rally style 2d trees and crowds which do repeatative waves!

Multiplayer is brilliant. Challenge your friends to beat your time and take it in turns to break records. I personally have a laugh every now and then and see who can cause the biggest carnage!

The game for me scores 9/10, and the ONLY reason I have not marked this 10/10 is because it cut's out too soon if you go off the road. I want to see the car tumble down the hillside I just drove off!!!

An incredible game, I really hope that they continue to make great games with the recent events surrounding the late colin McRae.
