... the Xbox 360 is highly playable. Every control has been thought out to perfection, making the joypad almost as appropriate as the mouse-keyboard combination, and in certain respects even making gameplay smoother. The result is a perfectly playable RTS on a console - success! Further to this, it's a Command & Conquer game, which makes it feel even better (I'm really looking forward to playing Red Alert 3 on my Xbox now). The single player campaign, as ever with this series, is very well constructed, with m...more

Premium Review Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (Xbox 360): Domination fun and games dressed in leather (273 words)

Rating:

This is a really good stratey game which is challenging to play and works well on the 360. As usual you get to choose between playing as either the Global Defense Initiative or the Brotherhood of Nod however you now also have the alien Scrin race to contend with as well. Whichever side you play as you will be faced with a number of challenges and one of the great things about this game is the variety that these missions provide, as always you will need to establish your own bases and seek to destroy the enemy ones however you will also have to achieve other goals such as bridge building or resistig alien attacks. For a startegy game the ...  Read the complete review

There are three things you should know about gaming. One, games based on movies suck. Two, the most generic genre ever is the first-person shooter. And three, Real-Time strategies are rare on consoles. Thanks to their complex control schemes on the PC RTS games that simply can't be converted to the console controllers with less buttons. That's why I usually stay away from these kinds of games on consoles. The lone exception was Alien Versus Predator on the PS2 which was fun, but still not perfect. Perhaps the best RTS on the PC is the Command & Conquer series. With a decade of history, the series is still remaining strong. Now, we have Command & Conquer 3: ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (Xbox 360): Command & Conquer finally conquers the conqsoles (415 words)

Rating:

Command & Conquer has been THE name in real time strategy gaming practically since the genre was first concieved. When the first C&C and even it's sequel Red Alert were first released on the PC, they may as well have been the only RTS games around. Although RTS games took off pretty quickly on the PC, mainly due to the availability of mouse control, they've had a slow and painful start on the consoles. The first attempts were tricky to control, and fell flat and paled against their PC counterparts. Only now are we offered a playable RTS experience on a console. Because despite its joypad based controls, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Conquer (175 words)

Command And Conquer is a real time strategy game for the Xbox 360 console. There are multiple stories to this game, you can play for the GDI for the NOD. You play the same battles but you fight for the opposing side which is interesting. The story is basically the GDI want to defeat the NOD and vice versa, but then aliens invade and then both sides have to work together. The gameplay is really fun as you have to build big military bases, with lots of weapons, soldiers, tanks and super weapons. Then you use your forces to obliterate the enemy. The battles are really fun and tactical as a as different units have different ...  Read the complete review

There a so many editions of command and conquer and the first one to hit Xbox 360 is command and conquer 3 tiberium wars. Ive just got to say that this is my absolute all time favourite. *Overview* Command and Conquer 3 is a strategy game where you get to control GDI, Nod and Scrin. Each division has its own strengths and weaknesses, so you need to learn how to exploit the power of each division. There is a campagin mode where you initially start as GDI or Nod and then you get to unlock the Scrin campaign. *Graphics* Extremely good! I like when huge armies of tripods or tanks come together and destroy each other. ...  Read the complete review
