F1 Race Stars is F1's attempt to grab a piece of the virtual karting action. It is a fun game but it has it's limitations and can get repetitive and frustrating after you have played the game and you are used to the various game modes. The most important parts for a fun racer are the power ups and the car handling. Well F1 Race Stars has power ups that just feel like a watered down version of more fun and older games of a similar type. You have power ups that slow cars down etc and loosely relate to F1. This F1 game is fun and full of new challenges. My partner wanted it as an early birthday present and I was loathe to buy it as we have other racing games such as Test Drive Unlimited, Forza and Project Gotham so I couldn't see the point in buying another one. I read the back of the cover and put it back on the shelf. Eventually though I got fed up of the badgering and bought it and I am glad I did!
