At the price of around £14.99 this game is great for kids although very much like Kinectimals, it can be found in any good game store or even some supermarkets, to me this game appears to be advertised for girls, cute animals isnt normally something a boy is in to but younger boys seem to enjoy it.
So when you first start out you get to choose one pet to look after you do however eventually get more as you progress in the game. There are all types of animals from horse/ponies, cats and dogs (different breeds available) and lizards etc there are also special "fantastic" creatures such as dragons and unicorns.
Not only do you get to look after your pet of choice you can also customise them in loads of different ways you can change their fur/ skin pattern and colour, the body size, change the eye shape and colour and add special features like wings.
There is also a unique feature of being able to change the pets personality from cute and cuddly and soft to weird and wild and tough but both variations are nice in different ways, you also get the chance to unlock new features etc so you can customise even more which is great for any creative little mind.
There is so much to do on this game from washing and feeding your animal to playing with all different types of toys with your pet not only can you do all this you can teach it to do tricks and then enter it into fun contest shows, you also have many minigames to play.
You not only play in the "fantastic pet world" but also get to see yourself in the room you are playing in on screen so that it looks like your choosen pet is in the room with you this feature my step-daughter enjoyed the most as it felt like her virtual pet had come to life!
So I cant say its all perfect there are a few glitches in the game, sometimes the Kinect will not register a movement and nothing happens, there is quite a limited area in which the Kinect can track movements therefore you are stuck in a small area of the room to play in, the graphics are good but on certain areas could be improved.
All in all I would say this game is worth a go, the kids love it and thats the main thing, not only fun but educational too.
