FIFA 06: Road to the FIFA World Cup (Xbox 360)

I bought this game off a friend for just £10, and the only reason I bought it was to get the achievements off it and have a bit of fun. I didn't have a football game at the time, so I thought I may as well buy it for my friend's sake, as he could have sold it for more to a shop. I hate football games, as they are all so similar and I cannot believe people buy so many in each series, when they are all the same! Every single game, you just kick around a football, whether it is pro evolution or Fifa. road to fifa world cup is an xbox 360 game that was the build up to the world cup and the fifa world cup game. You can pick any of the teams that were in the world cup and guide them to the world cup finals. You can choose from england to Braziul all depending on your prefernces. The matches itself are ok but lack in the entertainment other football games do. For a starter you cant do any skills. Even the most simple sep over is beyond these players. I bought this game ages ago when it came out and have probably not played it for around a year now. It was alright at the time with the world cup nearing us but it's now just an ordinary football game. There's nothing really special about it - the one player is based on the road to the world cup where you qualify. You can pull of some basic tricks in the game using the buttons below the triggers - LB and RB. Besides this, everything is just as normal. You can tackle the ball normally or slide tackle. This is not a great game it just smacks of a cheap attempt to cash in. One of the problems is that you objective is to get one of the 70 countries featured to the world cup finals and the fact that two thirds of the teams are from Europe means that your choices are a bit limited. In order to string out the game as welll as playing qualifiers you also have to play friendlies and a couple of mini tournaments but hat you do not get to do is play in the finals themsleves, that would mean that the designers would miss out on another cash in opportunity.
