Advantages: Graphics, Gameplay, basically just about everything.

Disadvantages: Payment for Live Season, Ultimate Team.

FIFA 2009 is one of the releases of 2008, and is probably the best football game that has been released on any platform. With the addition of the Ultimate Team, EA has seen the FIFA franchise gain a lot more respect, even from PES players. The graphics, gameplay and animations have all been improved and together this has made a good game, even better. A must have for all soccer fans! EA also introduced for the first time ever, the EA Live Season update which gives the users of the game the ability to update their desired league with live up-to date stats for every player in the game, I must say though that these updates can be a bit weird, and give you awkward and wrong ratings. For example, Drogba played 5 consecutive games for Chelsea and scored three times, but the live season update gave him a lower rating. I wouldn't let this worry you though, but just beware that you need to cancel the live season update at the end of the season so you don't have to pay for the next year.

Summary: Best football game released.
