Fifa 2009 is probably the most realistic football simulation game I have ever played, this coming from a Pro Evolution fan aswell! It has absolutly sparkling visuals , tight control and makes you feel what you do in the game could actually happen in a real football match.

The whole essence of the game puts it above its competitors. The split second reaction saves from the goalkeepers, the last ditch tackles, the collisions between players, the delicate chip over the last line of defence and the way your player will hang in the air that bit second longer so when you power that header into the back of the net it seems that bit more satisfying.

The game itself has several different modes to choose from such as Be a Pro mode which consists of creating a single player a raising him up to be the best and finally breaking through to the national side. Tournament mode which allows you to compete in any competition you wish to e.g Champions League, Premier League, The Championship or any other foriegn leagues. You also have Manager Mode which lets you take control of one team and also make the transfers of a simplified version of what an actual manager may need to do.

All in all Fifa09 ups the standard of what a football game should be about and with solid online modes and updates, licenses galore rivals such as PES don't come anywhere close!
