Advantages: Realistic graphics, good with your mates
Disadvantages: Intrusive advertising, easy, boring in single player, annoying controls
I bought this recently looking for a good 2 player game for when the boys come round, now in platinum range it only cost a tenner so I couldn't really go wrong.
As a boxing game it's pretty good, there is a huge range of real life fighters and the graphics are spectacularly realistic with cuts and bruises amassing on the faces of your opponents as you pummel with uppercuts and jabs.
Unfortunately that's all there really is to this game. There is a ridiculous amount of advertising in this game, almost to the point of it being intrusive. The single player campaign and achievement are also very easy to complete - I got through the game and 1000GPs in about 6 hours by basically landing haymaker after haymaker onto my opponents, rarely did I see a second round. To tell you the truth I got really bored with the game, no skill is required.
I've had more fun with the Rocky or Ready 2 Rumble games, I find simulator type games rather uninteresting, slow and frustrating.
For the price I paid I'd still recommend for having a bash with your mates, still better than FIFA :)
Summary: If you can get it for under £10 you could do far worse.
