Advantages: incredibly realistic driving experience

The sequel to this incredibly successful FORZA has a lot to live up to. After the original game found itself in the same category of Gran Turismo. Not only did this give MICROSOFT an asset to use in it's war with SONY, it was the start of a potential franchise.

FORZA MOTORSPORT 2 is still primarily aimed at diehard petrol heads. The amount of time and effort thats gone into makiing these cars is absolutely astounding. Every vehicle is nothing more than a canvas waiting to be altered and redesigned. Whether t entails upgrading it with new equipment or modifying the body, there's a whole range of options ready to be exploited, in fact the modifying aspects are about as important as the racing aspects ( thats why each car has 4,100 layers that can be applied to it)

Deapite all this the real appeal of FORZA MOTORSPORT 2 is as expected the ride itself: nothing has ever come so close as to replicating the sensation of driving a car. As dramatic as that may sound, the simulation mechanics deserve any and all praise that heads their way. The sheer attention to detail that TURN 10 has injected into individual vehicles is astonishing: a single track can react and feel completely different depending on the choice of car. Learning to work with your car is an imperative. In this sense FORZA MOTORSPORT 2 is absolutely essential. How such a feat was achieved with XBOX 360 controller. The two triggers become more than just simple accelerator and brake, learning how much pressure to use and when is something you must master if you want to achieve in this game. Furthermore the in-game damage and physics engine has reach a new plateau. Although each crash doesn't look spectacular, the effect on the car is paramount. Taking a tiny bump may affect the handling causing your new ferrari to start veering to the left, but carrering head first into a barrier at 150 MPH will have a serious impact on ho the car can perform.
