Advantages: Fantastic gameplay, real cars and tracks, brilliant online

Disadvantages: Not enough tracks

After being a life long fan of the Gran Turismo series, I was skeptical to Forza Motorsport 2. I had never played the first Forza, but I jumped in and bought it after friends advising me to buy it. Simply, I will never turn back. This game has shown me how stagnant the Gran Turismo series has become. When I first started and entered my first race, I was foot to the floor, ready to bounce of any wall or opponent. It wasn't until the first corner loomed upon me that my smile dropped. My front bumper fell off and the engine was smoking. It was at this moment, that I realised, this was the true driving simulator.

I then played two player with a friend, and realising that we both couldn't drive around an oval, we turned to crashing into each other at high speed. The only bit not true simulator about this game is that we were laughing our heads off, that we just crashed about £1 million worth of super cars head on.

If you want a racing game, in which you can customise the cars with aftermarket parts and bodykits, paint your cars with stickers, crash into things and race around real life tracks with real life cars breathing down your neck, this is the game for you.

Summary: The real driving simualtor
