Advantages: Realistic, Many Great Cars, Superb Accurate Tracks, Lots Of Gameplay, Customisation

Disadvantages: Repetitive

Forza Motorsport 2 is an excellent realistic driving simulation game. It's not meant for fun such as the Gran Turismo game or Need For Speed series (well it is meant to be fun) but it's also a very serious driving simulation game with top-notch physics and great realism. You can customise cars to the max as well with your own designs and decals and paints as well as different parts for the engine and body of the car.

The game features over 300 of the hottest cars from the worlds' leading manufacturers including Ferrari, Nissan, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mercedes, BMW, Audi and many more. There are also many tracks to race on within the game including the fantastic famous circuits such as Mugelllo Circuit, and the Suzuka Circuit. The graphics and accuracy of the circuits is done to perfection as members of the Turn 10 team walked the tracks in real life before designing them on the game.

The game features a main Career mode in which you use cars collected in your own garage to create the large series of races within different leagues such as Amateur, Professional and Semi-Pro as well as the much-loved Endurance races. You earn cars along the way by getting gold medals in races and you can buy them too with cash money that you win after races. Changing race settings such as traction control, ABS, opponent difficulty and whether or not damage is on can change the earnings.

There is also an Arcade mode in which you can do Exhibition mode where you are faced wheel-to-wheel against game controlled drivers in order to potentially unlock new cars and race series. There are also time trials here where you can try and set record times for tracks along with a free run mode where you can simply practice tracks with different cars.

The graphics in the game are very respectable - the cars look very clean and are quite detailed too. The actual tracks and scenery look excellent too with realistic skies and backgrounds too - you can't fault the graphics. The sound quality is very good too as the cars all sound different respectful to what model they are. The game features surround sound, which is great so you can hear upcoming cars behind you to all sides. The replay value is pretty good as there is a lot to complete and you get achievements for doing so but it can be quite repetitive too, which knocks off a bit of replay value. I'd still recommend the game as it's really fun to play and a very realistic game featuring great cars and tracks in ultra realism. You can customise your cars to the max and create some amazing designs using a range of shapes with the ability to change their size, spin and position on cars. For just £16.99 on amazon.co.uk, you can buy a classic version of the game, which I'd recommend.
