Advantages: Great graphics, gameplay, community!
Disadvantages: Steep learning curve online
Forza 3 is the latest game in the Forza series by developers Turn 10, released October 2009.
Forza 3 is a racing simulation game exclusive to the Xbox 360 and features over 400 cars from 50 manufacturers and over 100 tracks, the list of these can be found on the offical Forza Motorsport website.
The improvements over Forza 2 are numerous: the graphics & drivign physics have been greatly improved, you can now roll-over your car, there is an interior view and there are more types of car featured - such as Stock Cars, Australian V8 Supercars, German DTM cars and SUV's to name but a few.
A large part of the forza experience is being able to fully customise your car, which includes upgrading, tuning and painting.
You can upgrade nearly any aspect about your car, even down to swapping it's engine or adding forced induction among others.
Another big addition to Forza 3 is the 'Storefront' which is basically your own homepage where you can sell all your various Designs, Tuning Setups and show off your photos and replays. The hours that can disappear whilst you're looking through other peoples creations are quite staggering!
The game features 8-player online multiplayer via Xbox live, and 2-player multiplayer via offline split-screen, so playing with friends couldnt be easier, and is great fun, with various modes including: Race, Point-to-Point, Cat & Mouse and Tag.
All-in-all this really is the 'definitive racing game of this generation' and there is nothing currently available that can match forza in its overall package. However if you've never played a racing simulation game before, I urge you to try out the demo available free on xbox live before purchasing!
Summary: Great simulation racing game, with nothing out at the moment to challenge it!
