Forza 3 is the lastest in the simulation racing series of games on the Microsoft Xbox. The latest iteration of the series covers the same ground as last time but does it on a much grander scale.

Featuring over 400 cars which you can race in over 115 tracks, Forza 3 is a hugely expansive game. Because of this amount of content, the game spans two discs, one for the game and one for data which you install to your hard drive. NOTE* You don't have to install the data but you do lose on a large amount of cars/tracks.

There are several different game modes featuring the usual multiplayer, time trials and quick race - but the bulk of the game is contained within Career mode. The career mode takes you through the years as a professional racing driver. Each month you compete in a series of races, followed by a championship race. The series of races is your choice, you can choose from manufacturer specific races, different aspirated engined races amongst others.

The game caters for both hardcore racing fans and newcomers alike. You can either jump straight in with any car on any track with all the assists on if you just want to have fun, or you can jump into the career mode, turn all the assists off and delve into the mountains of tuning options if you want to get stuck in.

The main thing that sticks this game out from other competitiors (namely Gran Turismo on the PS3) is the livery designer. You have 1000 layers on each side of your car to create stunning designs out of shapes or pre-rendered vinyls. Some of the outcomes are truly amazing, and you only have to browse the online store for a few minutes to see these (you ca also sell your own vinyl designs on the store).

If you have played a Forza game before, it's much the same as the previous versions but bigger and better. If you haven't, I strongly suggest picking it up.
