My opinion
Forza Motorsport 3 is developed by Turn 10 Studios. It's this third installment into the Forza gaming series.
The first thing that you will notice about Forza 3 is how good the game looks, I was disappointed with the graphics in Forza 2 and knew that they could of done much better. In Forza 3 the graphics are very realistic and in HD they are even better. The graphics are almost real Forza Motorsport 3 does a really good job graphicly.
The thing that I like the most about Forza 3 is the game play. Just how accessible it is to everyone they have really got the pick up and play aspect just right in the fact that if you enjoy arcade racers then this game in some respects will suit you and if you enjoy a full blow simulator game then this game will carter for you. I love racing games and I enjoy both arcade racers and simulators. Forza 3 hits it around the middle as you can go and buy a car, buy upgrades for your car and then start tuning it if you are a fan of getting into the depth of the car then the game will let you do that. However if like me and don't really like getting into the depths of the car then you can choose your car, choose a race, complete the race and then it will let you know if anything is needed to be changed for example if your car is a lower class and the race you have just chosen if for higher class cars then it will tell you that and you can either choose a new car to race with or you can choose to let the game automatically upgrade your car to the class in which is needed for the race. I like the way that you choose what level of realism you would like to race with, you choose what assists are turned on and off. If you have the assists turned off then the game will become more difficult and realistic if you choose to have the assists turned on then the difficulty will become easier and more of an arcade style racer.
I love the way that the cars handle in Forza 3; they handle like the real thing, as they are really responsive and realistic although arcade gamers please don't let this put you off because if you have the assists on then the cars feel still very responsive but handle differently if you were to have all of the assists turned off.
The game has amazing sound and music the engine noises are phenomenal they sound just like the real thing which is nice as in some other racers they just choose the same noise for every engine. The music is very good and fits into the background nicely while your navigating menu's and choosing your car but you properly won't be able to hear the background music while your racing because of the lovely noise from the engine of your car.
I feel that the one major thing that is letting this game down is the online and multiplayer it's now in the style of halo 3s match making system where you can choose what type of game you would like to play for example Circuit, Oval or Drift type of game and then it will match make you into a game for you. You have no control over what track the race is on or what class of cars you will race with. This is just the match making and you can still choose the settings of the game such as the track but this is only if you are in a private match with your friends and sometimes this can be difficult getting a group of your Xbox live friends all into a private match and sometimes you just want to jump into a full game with players already in the game.
Price and Availability
The cheapest I have found the standard edition of the game is for £36.98 from The Love Film Shop.
The cheapest I have found the limited collectors edition of this game is for £54.99 on the Amazon website.
Overall
I think that this is one of the best racing games that I have ever played, you can play this game on so many levels whether you enjoy arcade racing games or simulation racing games then I think you will like this game. The only thing that is letting this game down is the online multiplayer aspect, which is a shame. I will still recommend that you buy this game.
