Advantages: Stunning graphics and gameplay, amazing game depth, quality feel and control system
Disadvantages: None
I recently had the joys of getting an XBOX 360 and this game was the reason behind me wanting one so much following on from my watching a gaming competition on TV where they played Forza 2 and me being simply blown away by the amazing look and apparent feel of the game, so was it really all worth it?
The game is one produced by Microsoft studios and is as such an XBOX 360 exclusive.
The game once again brings forward a huge variety of cars to the fore with the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Fiat 500, Alfa Romeo MITO, Bugatti Veyron, Chrysler Crossfire, Dodge Viper, Ferrari F430 and many more (total of over 400 cars).
The cars in this game are seperated into a variety of different classes based on their performance with information on performance indicators also provided on each car. Oneof the things I love in this game though is that cars can be moved between classes through upgrades which you purchase as you gain points (points are gained through performance in races).
Each and every car in this game simply look stunning and are perfectly rendered with it being obvious that you are not in the same car through the feel of the car and the sound of the engine (I use the in car view and this is where you hear a huge difference in the engine sounds).
The game is designed to once again allow the gamer an opportunity to experience driving the cars in a simulation setting across a variety of locations with over 100 real world tracks and road courses from all around the globe. The cars each feel different and take time to get used to and thanks to the ability to alter driving aids and even areas of the cars setup you can work your understanding of the car and its handling over time and get used to it as you go whilst you develop your skills and adjust you difficulty to suit.
So what does this game honestly deliver?
- Great gameplay with real world and real time decisions making on track differences
- Amazing quality of graphics allowing cars to look simply breathtaking
- Superb amount of game depth with hundreds of cars and numerous tracks making this a game that will last
- Online gameplay (not experienced)
- Great options to be creative with tinting of windows, changing of paint, adding vinyls and more
- Adjustable difficulty to allow you to develop your skills
Negatives:
- None
Simply put this is a must for all who love their racing games and want to be as close to the action as they can without being in the car.
Summary: Simply try it and you will love it
