Forza 4 has been a fantastic addition to my games collection and has paved the way for hundreds (and i really do mean hundreds) of hours of driving in circles on tracks I know better than my own city. For the score whores among us NOTE: The bulk of the achievements are easy and straight forward to grasp and complete but require some very serious grinding and track hours to get them unlocked. I am proud to say though i have the full gamerscore on all forza games, including the bonus 250g DLC. i have logged over 200 on track driving hours on this and so i think a review is needed...

The games graphics utilise the full HD experience of the xbox 360, and at 60FPS also makes great use of smooth frames and the aspect ratio of a massive telly. You don't need to have a massive telly to play this but its pretty dull on a small screen, all the effort put into graphics and smooth frames transitions is pretty much wasted if you don't play in HD or on a reasonably sized telly. (i play on a 28" 1080i TV and it looks stunning, anything better than that will really pack a punch.) A 5.1 surround sound home cinema too is a very good thing for those V8 roars you hear on the drag circuit, it really brings it all together for your enjoyment.

The cars in forza 4 are fantastically detailed including their smaller interior details. for example, on cars where there is a digital dashboard clock this will be set to whatever time your console is set to. You can therefore check what the time is while playing, and without pausing the game.

The Autovista mode lets you open and explore cars and this works well with kinect because you can imaging getting into a car and feeling all the controls inside of it. it really makes it into a realistic experience without actually having a car there. There is what i like to call a "coffee mode" where you can sit back relax and enjoy some free run trials and things like that, hot laps are then posted on a global leader board which i think currently stands at around 4 million global online players.

this is a fantastic racing game, its much better than Gran Turismo because of the graphics, auto vista cars and driving ability. For a start the cars aren't so stiff and handle much like a real car would on a tyre compound of your choice. A highly recommended game.
