If you're looking for some seriously hardcore team-based shooter action, then this game is for you. Even now that we're half way through 2007 there still hasn't been another tactical shooter that can topple this masterpiece from the top spot. Gears of war offers a style of gameplay so unique that it may even look Halo 3 seem unspecial in comparison. This is one of my favourite xbox games and is especially good if you like blood and gore or generally just shooting aliens and watching them splatter (haha). Seriously though this game has a great storyline and is extreamly fun to play although it can get frustrating when it gets harder. The weapons available to you are very good and the variety is excellant from standard guns to rocket launchers. The few veichels you can use are also very good although there aren't very many opportunities to use them and more would be better. Gears of war..... wow what a game. When I first bought this game over a year ago now it was just after i purchased a HDTV, i hooked it up and the first word that came to my mouth was WOW. I'll start with a little bit of background to the game. Its set in the not too distant future, where mankind is on the brink of annihilation.
