Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is a brilliantly simple addictive twin stick shooter. You control a ship fighting against geometry shapes. that all act differently. You can move your ship with the left stick and you shoot with the right stick, so to start with it messes with your head, should you concentrate on where you're moving or where you're shooting! I bought this game on the Xbox Live Arcade, in fact it was one of the first games that I bought when I got my Xbox 360. At the time it cost 400 microsoft which is about 5 pounds. And for 5 pounds it's well worth it! Geo Wars started off as a small part of Bizzares' Project Gotham Racing 3. There was ... Read the complete review

I've been hearing about 'Geometry Wars' for a few years now, but I never stopped to consider what it actually was, or what genre of video game it fitted into. I ended up playing the game for the first time last week, and have been addicted ever since. So what's it all about? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Basically, it's like Asteroids... but better, and visually stunning at the same time. You control a space-craft which can be moved around the screen via the left analogue stick on the control pad. The Right stick allows you to fire 360 degrees around you - so you can be flying forward, and shooting behind... ingenious stuff! The aim of ... Read the complete review

This game is available for purchase via xbox live arcade and cost 400 microsoft points which is equivalent to £3.40 and i must say that it is one of the best buys i have made. I have played it almost as much as some of my £50 proper games. Some of you may have played some version of geometry wars before but this is a vast improvement INTRO You are some blob type thing (forgive my descriptions) which can shoot little yellow bullets. Your enemies are shapes whether it be rectangular, circular, square or some other weird thing. You must try and kill all the shapes and stuff to earn points and if you get touched by one of these then you die. ... Read the complete review

Hi today I will be reviewing Geometry wars for the Xbox 360 available the download from the Xbox Live Arcade and is also available on the Arcade Unplugged Volume 1 Disk. This was available to purchase from November the 21st 2005 for around 400 Microsoft Points which comes to around £3.50 or you could buy the CD which has more arcade games on it for around £10 from a lot of stores for example Gamestation Graphics This game has quiet good graphics with the special effects and the different lights which for a quiet old arcade game looks really nice. Objective In this game you are a ship which you have to steer in a box and shoot different ... Read the complete review

This arcade game is available on the Xbox live marketplace and recently has been packaged for sale in shops as an actual game. It's quite simple really you are a small white spaceship in a large box of empty space, you must shoot coloured shapes as they either fly around, towards or into you although some have various projectiles and special abilities which are unique to their colour shape and this brings variety into the game. It's simple but addictive with lots of colourful explosions move destroyed shapes. To be honest it's like an epileptic fit on a screen which is actually really awesome. It does however get difficult quite quickly and is based solely on ... Read the complete review
