Hitman Blood Money is a great game. The story line is superb, you play as an assassin, Agent 47 who travels the globe to many exotic locations bumping off important locals. My favorite feature in this game is its sheer realism, even on the easier settings where a hail of bullets will not kill you, the artificial intelligence is extremely life like, you will actually feel as though you are attempting to outsmart genuine human minds. The depth at which the levels work is also amazing, its not your conventional go here, kill with this game. You are dropped in a realistic environment, i.e an american suburb and given a target or two as well as a sub-target and you can dispose of them any way you choose. You could massacre the whole town and risk the police intervention, or you could carefully sneak in dressed as a garbage man and poison the target, his wife and even dog. Or you can leave a well placed bomb on the lawn and detonate as your target walks into your path of destruction, the possibilities are endless. The game has a huge effect and once you master the art of the silent kill you will be thinking you could get away with genuine murder, this is not the purpose of the game though. It is to provide situations and allow the gamer to solve the puzzle any way they feel appropriate. This is not a simple shooter, it is a sophisticated and stylized puzzle game which will satisfy every of your needs.
47 is back in the fourth instalment of the hitman series in blood money. The player takes on the role of the silent bald headed, barcoded assassin clone as he perform various kills around the world.
The gameplay has had changes since the previous titles with 47 having more moves from human shields to scaling pipes and walls. The graphics has been improved though it doesnt stand apart from other games as the previous titles have. There is some good design work in place from level, AI to the objectives. There are a number of ways to complete a 'job' without the need to ever fire a bullet. Hence missions can be completed by poison, bombs, accidents or bullets.
As 47 you have to focus more on stealth and disguises to achieve your goals though you can do well in a combat situation if the need arises.
The story is mainly shown as flashbacks and connects te various missions around the world. The music does not dissapoint with some amazing score at certain sections of the game.
The game itself is of average length however has a very good replay value with players trying to find more than one way to complete the objective. Definetely one of the best stealth based games around and worth a play
Although this is the fourth installment of the Hitman series, it is also the first Hitman game I've had the pleasure to play.
To those not familiar with the series, you play the bald, contract-killer clone known simply as Mr. 47 who works for the mysterious organisation "the Agency".
The premise of the game is, as you might have guessed, quite simple. In each mission, you must kill a few specific people. On occasion, you also have to protect someone or steal something. Then you have to get the hell out of there.
The missions themselves are well engineered and there is always more than one way to go about a hit. These kills are by no means set pieces, you can do anything from placing a bomb, pushing them over a balcony to straight up shooting them in the head.
You have a wide range of tools available including sedatives, poison, fibre wire, sniper rifles, assault rifles and more. You can also make hits appear to be accidents by pushing people down chairs or making objects appear to fall.
You can also use the money earned from your hits to customise your weapons by adding scopes and silencers or by buying new bombs. This is especially helpful for those who like to plan their hits more thoroughly.
Given the variety involved, these missions are very re-playable and there is alot of insane fun to be had. I personally enjoy challenging myself to killing every person on the level (including civilians, etc.) without dying.
The Notoriety feature is quite a nice touch - if you leave a witness, get caught on camera etc. your next mission becomes slightly/siginificantly harder (depending on the your level of notoriety) as people gradually begin to recognise you. At the end of missions, you are given the option to lower your notoriety by use of bribes or a new identity but it is best to never gain a notoriety level in the first place.
Even though it is intended to be played in the third person, hitting the right thumbstick can put you into first person for those intense gun fights.
Available in a variety of difficulties from ridiculously easy to insanely hard, you will definitely find yourself a challenge somewhere.
The storyline is alright and it loosely ties the missions together. I think they decided on the locations first then strung out a storyline to fit. It didn't completely absorb me but I did enjoy watching it all unravel and there was a good twist at the end.
There is no multiplayer, no sandbox mode, no online, co-op or any deviation whatsoever from the story mode which is a little disappointing but expected.
This is probably one of my favourite ever games, I played the original hitman demo on the ps2 which I loved but never ended up getting the game for one reason or another but when I saw Blood Money was coming out I immediatly decided I was going to buy it, and I wasn't dissapointed.
The tutorials are easy to follow, the missions are fun and different, you can play the game as you wish, with stealh or all guns blazing, the storyline is compelling, the ending is brilliant and the end of each mission I found great as a news report tells you all about the mission you have just been through from a newspapers point of view (although after the 10th or so newspaper report they can get repetetive).
Playing as an agent sent out to kill numerous people for various reason, you are able to play through the missions as you wish, you can offer bribes to people in order to reduce your notoriety, numerous weapons are available and the setting for the missions are tense and fun, meeting many different enemies, different ways to kill them and fiferent ways of completing missions.
For me the hardest mission was the birds mission, I hated it and could never do it, either losing the original guy, being seen, getting shot by cops or what not.
Brilliant game, brilliant missions and I wish I still had it actually, ended up selling it for a little extra money.
Hitman Blood money, like the name says, is about controlling a hitman who gets several missions in which to complete.
To keep the review basic, I wont go into any deep deep details, but merely the basics.
Each mission in the game is different to any other played. While one mission may be on a boat, another will be in a casino, while one is at a wedding. There is a big variety of scenerios to play through. The missions themselves can be played in many ways. You can go in and shoot whoever you want, kill who you want, sneak around as who you want and try and finish the mission on a rampage. However there is also the more sneaky hitman approach. Each mission has more than one way to complete it. This is what makes the game enjoyable, being able to play one mission time and time again with new ways to finish it.
There is always a big choice of who there is to be, to sneak around as or places to hide other bodys, whether from fridges, bins or dumpsters.
The idea of sneaking around also makes the game more enjoyable, as throughout the game there are many ways to get caught. The computer has a very good role in this game, as they can be very realistic with what they find.
Without giving away too much of the game, each mission has a good storyline with a very enjoyable number of ways to finish each one. A great game for entertainment which makes you think every time!

This is Hitman - Blood Money, the non existent Assassin makes yet another comeback in this mysteriously, clever killing title. I have got to say, this Hitman is certainly the best one I've seen. The cloned assassin known as 'Agent 47' makes a huge comeback to all consoles, with extremely new moves and techniques. The previous Hitman titles, Codename 47, Silent Assassin, and Contracts were all great titles back when they were first released, but, Blood Money is certainly going to take some beating. Every level is amazingly huge, and brilliantly laid out, the graphics are the best yet, he's stance like movement has more tension, and he's presence is chillingly better. Unlock weapons, by completing levels and earning points. Agent 47 is anonymous in appearance, nobody knows he exists, he's target assassinations are made to look like accidents. There is a lot I loved about this game; I've even made an entire walkthrough for it, I've called it undetected. I will run through all missions, and tell you my thoughts on them; and what there about. Whilst approaching every mission, I thought it was a good idea to collect all CCTV video tapes, and retrieve your suit; this will cover your tracks, and save you valuable points.
Death of a Showman: (Target - Joseph Clarence)
The game starts out, with the story of a business man by the name of 'Joseph Clarence' who runs a fair ground. He's business goes bankrupted, and the fairground closes down, this was due to a bomb deliberately being planted on the Ferris wheel, leading to many deaths. Joseph Clarence is responsible for this; Agent 47 comes into the scene to track down his first target. The first mission is pretty straight forward; you're guided through it, by on screen instructions. Agent 47 starts off below a pier, near the deserted amusement park; the object is to make your way into the theatre and take out the gangsters. You have to find your way to Joseph's office, where you can assassinate him. At the end of the mission, you can plant a bomb to kill the remaining guards; it's very easy to overcome, and doesn't take very long to do this. One of the new features comes straight into this level; you kill two gangsters, hide their bodies in giant boxes, and close the lid. This feature ensures you stay undercover, and undetected! During this mission, you come across another feature, that's not normally seen in other games. You peer down a hatch and see a gangster working on the controls for the elevator; equip the fibre wire from your inventory, press the action button, and see what happens. Alright then, if you can't figure it out, I'll tell ya! Agent 47 dangles through the hatch, strangles the gangster with the fibre wire, and drags his body through the hatch. It's a unique, but silent assassination!
A Vintage Year: (Targets - Don Fernando Delgado, Manuel Delgado)
The mission starts off outside a vineyard, inside are your main targets. Manuel Delgado is the closet and not that difficult to get. You will find him walking in and out of the wine cellar, but, he will be surrounded by people and guards. Agent 47 will not be allowed to enter the wine cellar, so, what you have to do is eliminate one of the guards discreetly, hide his body, and take his clothes. Once you?re inside the cellar, it's getting Manuel out of site from guards; I used a very clever technique for this, without the body being discovered. Follow Manuel through the first door in the cellar, on your way in, you will notice a box, open the lid and wait for Manuel to walk by. I used the fibre wire to strangle him, then, I stuffed his body in the box, and closed the lid. I found this the easiest way to dispose of him; it was one of many techniques I used. I will just say, to assassinate Fernando Delgado, you will have to enter the house, and take out every guard, do this quietly, and make sure all dead bodies are disposed of, and out of sight. I will leave you to decide, what way you come in. When I was inside Fernando's room, I waited for him to sit down, so he start to play the violin, then, I took him out with the fibre wire, once again, same technique I used for a silent kill.
Curtains Down: (Targets - Alvard D'Avarde, Richard Delahunt)
I have got to say, this mission is my favourite on the game, I can replay it over and over again, and wouldn't get fed up with it. I must have at least completed this one, about fifty times; I just loved sneaking backstage and picking off all the guards. You're in Paris at the Opera house; your two targets are in the main part of the house. D'Avarde is playing a part as the excursionist on stage, and Delahunt is watching the performance from the VIP box. I started off by, walking up to the desk, and talking to the guard, he gives you a jacket, Agent 47 takes a real prop pistol from one of the pockets, and hands the jacket back to the guard, storing the pistol in his coat. I made my way through the back, eliminating the workers and the guards, and disguising myself by changing. Once I reached the backstage area, I waited for D'Alvarde and the executioner to come off stage, and enter their dressing rooms. I managed to switch the fake pistol, (the executioner has this) for the real prop pistol. When they go back on stage to rehearse their play, the executioner fires the pistol, and accidentally kills him. The best place to witness this, above the stage, high up on the scaffolding. From this point you can eliminate Delahunt at the same time. (Note: use your sniper rifle to do this) The beauty of this level, if you do it right, you can walk out the Opera house casually; no one will suspect it was you.
Flatline: (Targets - varied, Protect - Agent Smith)
I'll describe this as an ill stricken level, has it's to do with, checking into this clinic (like rehab) using false ID, to get close enough to your targets. I found it very tricky at first, getting by the officers without raising any suspicion, picking up the false ID paper unnoticed, hiding the dead bodies, killing your targets, when your not entirely sure where they are, and whether you can get them on their own. There is no easy way of doing this without, the bodies being found, unless you want to turn the clinic into a slaughter house, this will certainly get you noticed. Here are a few tips for you! Tampering with the gas in one of the rooms certainly helps eliminate one target. Dropping a half ton weight on the throat of another target, and planting a bomb on a rope above the area where the other target heads. After you done all this, remember why you were assigned to this mission, to protect Agent Smith and get him the hell out of there. Agent Smith is located in the cells below the clinic, sedate him in his cell, and revive him once his been moved to the morgue. If you want help finding this, it's located near the start off the mission. I approached this mission, in so many different ways, so I can't say there?s a right and a wrong way of doing this.
A New Life: (Target - Vinnie Sinistra, Collect - Hidden Microfilm)
Vinnie Sinistra is a retired gangland thug, who lives in protection at his suburb house in a small neighbourhood. Agent 47 needs to take him out and capture the microfilm, which is hidden in the bracelet around the wife's neck. The first thing to do here is, to walk up to the takeaway van and poison the crate of donuts. The waiter comes back and forth to the van; wait till he delivers the donuts to the white van across the road. When the bodyguards are out of it, take the CCTV tape from inside. The way I did the next bit, first I took one of the bodyguards clothes; I went over to the pet place, around the back, climbed in the window, inside to collect, poison darts and a bottle of ether. The darts are needed to knock out that annoying mutt in Vinnie's backyard, and the ether is to knock out that pervert inside the house, smelling the daughters panties. I assassinated Vinnie, when he was alone in his room, silently with the fibre wire, or I simply used one shot to the head with the silencer pistol. I then eliminated the wife by tampering with the barbeque, and burning her to a crisp. If this is too morbid for you, try killing her once she goes to the bathroom, and then you collect the microfilm from around her neck. You leave the neighbourhood unscathed and undetected.
The Murder of Crows: (Targets - Mark Pyrayah Jr, Raymond Kulinsky,
Angelina Mason, Protect - Jimmy Cilley (The Politician) Collect - Diamonds briefcase
This mission took me ages to do; it's on a timer, so you have to act fast. Your three targets try to assassinate a politician, by the name of Jimmy Cilley. You have to eliminate all three targets, as well as deliver a diamond briefcase, all before the politician gets killed. The worst part, he's going around on a float at a Mardi Gras parade, the streets are packed full of people, and it is hard to see where you were going. It was an exciting mission, all the cheering and celebrating from the crowd, made it look and sound so real. Again, there are so many ways of completing this one. I'll just say; I started by following the guy in the chicken outfit; I eliminated him down one of the alleys, dressed up in his outfit, and hid his body in the bin. I delivered the diamond briefcase to one of the targets, and started picking them off from there. It's very difficult to find them all at first, that's where your map comes in handy. This mission is highly impressive in graphics, and well laid.
'You Better Watch Out' (Targets - Lorne de Havilland, Chad Bingham,
Collect - Video tape of Chad
Another level I just couldn't get enough of playing, I loved the beautiful Antarctic conditions, and a Christmas party being held at Havillands HQ. You can either do it two ways, 1. Take the elevator to your left, and find a bodyguard on his own to eliminate; 2. Take out the bodyguard in the security room to your right, and obtain a Christmas bodyguard suit straight away. I took the second option, has I found it the easiest, and I didn't want to waste time. I went after Lorne de Havilland first, as he's conveniently on his own at some point. I picked up the sausage in the kitchen, and poisoned it with the syringe located in the inventory. I obtained a black bodyguard suit, and by passed the other guards, and up the elevator, this is where Havilland is. The video tape you have to collect is nearby. I waited for Havilland and his yapping mutt to return to the balcony outside his room. I poisoned the dog with the sausage, and pushed Havilland over the balcony, this is another new technique they've added. I used the same technique to kill Chad Bingham; I'll leave you to work out how to get him away from the Jacuzzi. Hot bikini girls, a drunken Santa, and a Christmas atmosphere, this Antarctic level was certainly one of my favourites.
Death on the Mississippi: (Targets - Skip Muldoon, Everett Jefferson, Junior O'Daniel, Willian S. Corfitz, Adam Hendrikson, Joe Netberg, Elijah Krup, Collect - A Pictures Pacel)
I'm not one for missions that take place on giant ships; I find they are the hardest missions to complete, well I suppose it's what's involved, but this one was hard. There are six targets, five members of the gator gang, and captain Skip Muldoon. All of them are scattered through out the luxury ship, so trend carefully whilst trying to assassinate them. The trickiest one of course, is Skip Muldoon; I got lost a couple times in some of the cabins, and lost my way on one of the decks a couple of times too. You also need to pick up the documents (A pictures parcel) in the safe, located in Muldoon's office. I still enjoyed exploring the ship, as it had so much texture and style to it. I can't say what way is the easiest to approach this mission, all I did was pick off each person carefully, and chucked them over board, innocent civilians or not, I couldn't find a way of not getting detected!
'Till Death do us Part' (Targets - Buddy Muldoon, John Leblanc, Protect - Margeaux Leblanc)
In this level, I got to do something I've always wanted to do, carry a gun in front of guards. I still had to be careful I didn't act oddly, so I had to do this without them being suspicious. But, again, it was a bugger to complete this without raising any attention! This one basically left off from the last mission; because, now you're going after assassinating a relation of Skip Muldoon, Buddy. Buddy's the groom, and Leblanc is the father of the bride who you've got to eliminate, and at the same time protect the bride. I can't tell you how this comes about; but, you will find out as the game goes on. One certain thing I loved about this level; and that was taking the invitation from the drunken guy, this allowed you access to the wedding reception and the party.
A House of Cards: (Targets - Sheikh Mohammad Bin Faisal Al-Khalifa, Tariq Abdul Lateef, Hendrik Schmutz, Collect - Payment Briefcase ?Optional)
A great level, where you start off outside this big luxurious Casino, inside is outstandingly set out. The lobby, the Casino itself, the restaurant, the upstairs suite of rooms are considerably big and stylish, this level certainly tells apart from all the others. I certainly loved the décor in every bit of this level; this really makes the game stand out. This level is timing consuming, and there's a bit of waiting around involved, this is what makes the game enjoyable. Two of your targets turn up one after the other, so you will have to wait for them. I took out the first target in one of the toilets; I find it best to kill the first one as quick, as you can, because the next two turn up soon after. The second target heads for the elevator; I took him out with that hatch technique I spoke about in the first mission. You can take the briefcase if you want, but, it's not necessary as you can get to the top floor without it. These targets are in no pacific order, how you take them out is entirely up to you, this defiantly is the best looking level yet.
A Dance with the Devil: (Targets - Anthony Martinez, Vaana Ketlyn, Eve, Maynard John, Collect - Information about your would-be assassins)
What a sensationally outstanding level this is, the best one on the game for sure, I actually thought this was the end. There are two elevators in an underground car park, beneath this towering office block. They may look like just ordinary elevators, but, where they lead to, I thought was brilliant, I salute the team who made this one up. One elevator goes down to a party in hell, and the other goes up to a party in heaven, I thought at first, this was the last level. I really enjoyed seeking out my targets, and collecting the information on 47, there is also a one on one, gun to gun confrontation with one of the targets, in a sound proof room. Hell consists of loud outrageous music and orgies; with blood red décor everywhere, it feels like the depths of hell, this certainly is one for the Satan. Whilst heaven is calm, peaceful, and full of beautiful half naked angels. I loved changing into the heaven and hell outfits; and going up and down each elevator. Like always, before you get to explore here, you have got to dispose of all the guards, as two are waiting for you, either side of each elevator.
Amendment XXV: (Targets - Mark Parchezzi III, Daniel Morris)
This is the last big mission on the game; the end is drawing to a conclusion. I can't say I've seen many games where you can actually roam around through the white house, but, this one doesn't disappoint. Beings this is the last contract, I will not be giving anything away. I just say the place is amazingly huge from inside, it feels like its D-Day.
Requiem: (Targets - leave no witnesses)
This is it, the day of reckoning has arrived, and the cloned assassin is set to be laid to rest. I thought at first, the game was finished when Agent 47 was lying down, ready to be cremated. But, there was just one last job need doing!
I've heard they are making a follow up to this one; I will certainly be looking forward to what they've got in store for the next franchise?
There are not many games like this on the market. It is a really good game, in which you play a hitman that has to take out people for his clients. With the money you get from the clients you can buy intel for the next mission, which makes it a lot easier espicially if you want to be quiet. You can also upgrade weapons with the money, making them more powerful, quieter and also easier to handle by making them lighter. The missions are always different, in every missions there is a lot of challenges to face in every mission. In every mission you can just create havoc and kill everybody and still complete the mission but you get a bad mission review and you really should do it without being caught then the review will be much better. If you do well in the revies on the xbox 360 version you get lots of achivements which is always great. This game is ace 5/5
Hitman Blood Money
Publisher: Eidos Interactive.
=== The Story. ===
At the beggining of the game we see a flashback to a Baltimore amusement park, where a ferris wheel ride collapses due to maintenance neglect, causing the death of dozens of innocent people.
We then see a man sat in a dimly lit office, looking at a picture, which we find out is the mans son, who died on that same ferris wheel. He then picks up the phone and calls the agency, and orders a hit on the amusement parks owner.
After completeing this mission, there's a cutscene including a reporter and the former FBI Director, Leland "Jack" Alexander who are talking, about cloning and the things that Agent 47 has been upto. Leland is showing the reporter recent news articles of assasinations, which brings the reporter to believe the consipiracies about the actual existance of the notorious Agent 47. And through the rest of the game, we play the missions as flashbacks to what Leland and the Reporter are discussing.
The more we play the game, the more the plot starts to unravel, and we see the true extent of the reason Leland invited the reporter, with a shock ending which doesn't turn out to be as it originally seemed.
=== Silent Assassin Weapons. ===
Throughout the game, you can collect lots of different weapons, from pistols to shotguns, to assault rifles and sniper rifles. There's also weapons such as nail guns.
But to make the most out of the game, and complete the missions with a Silent Assassin Rating (Best Rating), its a better idea to not actually use weapons at all. Apart from the silent weapons you have throughout the game, these include:
# Sedating - You will be carrying 2 syringes with anasthetics around with you on every mission. If you are spotted carrying them, guards will naturally attack you.
# Poisoning, Just like the anasthetics, you carry 2 around with you on each mission, but instead of just sedating they kill the poor person who is on the recieving end. It's best to only use these on your main targets, because if used on civilians or police officers, it will be counted as a unnesscary kill.
# Pistol Grabbing - You can sneak up behind people and if you have a gun equipped you can use them as a human shield. You can also do this to knock people out without killing them or wasting sedatives. You can slowly walk with the people before you knock them out which is good for dragging them into a secluded spot. But when you do knock them out it can be very noisy, and any nearby guards will come to investigate.
# Fibre Wire - This is any assassins weapon of choice, although it does kill enemies instead of temporarily stunning them. You can carry this round at anytime because it is small and hard to see when in your hand. You can also use this to kill enemies who are in lifts, by being inside the roof hatch, you can drag people up onto the top of the elevator, and hide their body there.
# Accidents - Each mission usually has a set out way in which you can kill your main targets while making it look like an accident. These include things falling and crushing your targer, or "Accidenly" falling down the stairs.
=== Disguises. ===
Throughout the game there are lots of restricted areas, where you need to go to beable to complete the missions. To get to these places, you must either find uniforms lying around, or neutralize somebody and steal their uniform. The uniforms you can wear include, Police, waiters, guards, patients, FBI and clowns.
=== Disposing of Bodies. ===
Due to the fact that if you neaturalize somebody and steal their clothes, if anybody else finds the persons body, your disguise will basically be useless, because everyone will be looking for a man in a clown suit for example. So throughout the levels there will be things like garbage bins, laundry baskets. Noone will ever look in any of these, so you will be safe to go round doing the rest of your mission without worrying about the consequences. You can also hide bodies in toilet cubicles, although if anyone walks into the cubicle and sees the body their your disguise will be blown.
=== Frisking. ===.
When you pass guard posts, dressed in the wrong type of uniform, you will be frisked by people to see if you are carrying weapons. It will only pick up metal items, so any guns you are carrying will be found, although your syringes, mines and fibre wire will not. There are many ways to get past this though, such as hiding your weapons into a donut box, and then dressing as a delivery man to get passed the guards. They will still frisk you but will not find the weapons are they are hidden inside the box.
If you stick to doing all of thse things carefully you will stand a much better chance of becoming a silent assassin.
=== Missions. ===
There are numerous 'hits' you are given throughout the game. These are basically contracts which you must perform while trying to go along unrecognised. These can range from, being in a theatre and hiding in the actors dressing room, then as he leaves to go to the toilet, you switch the prop World War 1 pistol for a genuine one, so that the actor will accidetly shoot your target who is also a actor, and you will get away with it. There's also a Mardi Gras level in New Orleans where you must walk through huge crowds with cops everywhere, while taking out a couple who have been hired to assassinate a councellor.
The missions are very smart because you can play them in multiple ways, with different results. You can make it look like an accident, poison your target, or you can just go in with guns out and kill as many people as possible, although this will give you worse rating and increase your notoriety.
=== Notoriety. ===
This game as a very good notoriety system. If you are seen by witnesses, you kill people who don't need to be killed, and you leave bullet holes everywhere, the police have much more to go on when trying to find the identity of the assassin, and you notoriety will go up. Which makes the newspaper article at the end of each mission tell you things about how you did and if they know who you are. If you keep killing people throughout multiple missions, your nototiety will increase to the point where the police have photographic evidence of you and you are wanted by everyone, thus making missions much harder because civilians will run away and go tell the closest police officer, who will then try to take you down. You can however bribe witness, police or change your identity for a set price, which will bring your notoriety down. If you complete each mission, without any witness, and make everything look like an accident you will be rewarded with a silent assassin rating, and noone will be any wiser of your presence at the scene of the crime.
=== My Opinion. ===
This is an excellent game, and definetly the best in the Hitman series so far. The many ways to complete each mission adds a great replayability factor. I've complete this game 4 times. I did the first time by myself and didn't do too good. Then I played through using multiple walkthrough found on the internet. And each one had a different way of playing the missions while still getting silent assassin ratings, which keeps the game interesting and give a new experience with each playthrough. The graphics are pretty good, certain levels such as the suburbia level show this off very well.
I got this with a bundle when I first got my Xbox 360, and at first it was very hard and I didn't enjoy it much, but then as soon as I used a walkthrough I couldn't stop playing it.
There's a Hitman 5, confirmed for release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, at the end of 2008 or beggining of 2009. And I simply cannot wait to play it.
Overall with the cheap prices you can get this game for now ( Roughly £15.), it's definetly worth a purchase and I think you will enjoy it as much as I have.
5 out of 5 Stars.
(Also posted on Ciao.).
The professional famous assassin in games world, whose nickname 47 has returned with Blood Money. Still glacial and transcendent, he is ready for new missions follow style of the Hitman action game series. Although game play is still similar to 3 previous versions but with those action scenes with open-ending in Hitman: Blood Money will sure be interesting for you. 47 will have more moves in a storyline which may excite your curiosity and cinematic-like missions, especially when its on Xbox 360.
Although known as the fourth in the series Hitman, Blood Money doesnt require any experience or knowledge from the players about its brothers-3 previous version. Actually, you can feel more impressive if this is the first time you meet this white baldy. After receiving lots of missions from the beginning of the series till now, 47 step by step, find out that its him and his boss who are in danger with a secret organisation. Everybody knows, in his career, danger means dead. 47 can only find out more about this after his missions are completed and all lead to a flabbergasted ending as well as always higher the contradiction.
In the first chapter, player controls 47 to carry out a mission exactly in Hitman style: Kill the manager of an amusement park. This man, only because of his carelessness, has killed many innocent lives. Swing King-the manager was also a part of an organisation which sells heroin, to save the park from bankrupt. Passed through many guards, used lots of ammo, his last job to do is just way to easy when the victim is only a weakling, kneeling and praying for forgiveness.
Gamers can finish this chapter without having any difficulty just by follow the instruction on the screen. However, this is only a kind of demonstration to show players how it works as well as help them to get used to the game, at least, knowing what to do. Therefore, after the first mission, as the game go on, itll be more and more difficult to get through and next missions always contain surprises.
There are 12 missions in the game, mostly in US, from a carnival of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, a casino designed in Egyptian style in Las Vegas, to a clinic in north California, a cruise on Mississippi The game is really impressive with all life-like scene, immense, sophisticated and lively. Especially in the carnival of Mardi Gras, where every street is a river of people and colourful dancers dancing, all are very detailed. Every location in game is full of citizens and guards with fully equipped ammo and amour. Therefore, you have to prepare carefully for each mission to finish the victim and get away easily, without any realisation. If you are detected, there will be big trouble but its not the end with 47, he can show his shooting ability to run away from them.
Like other versions, in Blood Money, sneaking is the best strategy but you can also run and shoot in need. Players angle can be changed between the third (from the back of 47) and the first (like normal FPS games). Besides, lots of new weapons are added to the game with shotgun, machine gun, all have different shape and look exactly like the model in real life. There are also poison, dynamite, blade and many more In particular situation, you can finish your enemy off without any blood in your hand by lure them to be jailed or stuck and then be hit by some heavy objects. You will earn more money and have higher ranking by doing that in every mission (if possible).
Making plan is not so difficult in game when you have the help of maps in each part of building which looks like GPS. Just by a press, maps will appear and youll the position of every single one around your area (only at normal level or lower, not included at higher level). But at hard level its opposite, enemy will know where youre standing and of course, easier to be found and got killed.
Games AI is not so high and can be said at satisfied level. You can see them talking with each other, guarding around Some of them sometimes go to the toilet or get out to have some cigarette and know nothing about the danger around them. They will have to pay for their separation from others. Like other professional assassins, 47 is master of masquerade. He can disguises him to any one he want; make it much easier getting in the danger zones.
After each missions, 47 will be more famous, therefore can be found easier and its harder to complete the mission. Between chapters, Hitman: Blood Money allow player to pay to lower their fame in the underworld. As well as this, money can be used to buy weapons, equipment upgrade them to bigger, have more space to store or attach laser telescopic sight, IR to your guns
Another remarkable thing is after each mission, player can read an article about what his character has done, well described and detailed. This make player feel good when reading comments about his show. In every mission, it is necessary to hide in the wardrobe, use dead body as a shield, and throw knife or broken glass as well as destroy the evidence by throwing dead body in the bin
A special soundtrack of Hitman: Blood Money was composed by Jesper Kyd with beautiful mix between anthem backgrounds and electrical. Sound effect is remarkable with dubbing in the underworlds way, making conversation between characters in game sound very cool.
Thank you for reading.
The Hitman franchise has produced some quality games and with Blood Money the strong run of success is continued, this is a top quality game combing the best of stealth challenges with some cool action sequences that keeps the game play both challenging and interesting.
Once again you adopt the role of 47 the bald headed gun for hire undertaking a number of missions however in this one you and your boss also come under threat from another agency and this twist in the story help make it an entertaining game.
The action takes place in a number of cities and by far my favourite was the back drop of Mardi Gras in New Orleans although the casino in Vegas comes a close second. The missions get gradually harder and there is a nice learning curve to this game which makes it accessible to new players and challenging enough to engage those who have played the previous Hitman games.
For those new to the game this is mostly about stealth, you can go in guns blazing and still succeed in some missions but a stealthy surprise killing making use of the various close quarter tools of your trade like the knife or poison are much more satisfying. There is a useful map to help you avoid detection which shows the whereabouts of enemies and also helps you secure your escape.
As you gain money from hits so you are able to buy extra equipment and you can upgrade existing weapons with things like laser sights.
This is a very good game, visually it is great and the controls are easy to pick up. Definitely one I would recommend. It is available at Amazon for £22.47 new or from £15 in the new and used area.
