Racing games - I love them. I really do. Street racing, yep, I like that too. Pimping the cars a little bit? Yeah it's fun with some interesting results. However, this is an awful try at a street racing game. Literally you have one big track. One track. It is basically a large motorway in a rough loop shape, that you circle continually. From this you flash your lights at randoms to challenge them to a race. Which covers a small section of the motorway. You're bored just reading this right? My point exactly. Why couldn't they have taken a little time to build some interesting tracks. They got the basics wrong here and from that point the game is lost. If this is your type of game, go for Need for Speed. You probably knew this already but its the best advice I can offer. Stay away from this and get Need for Speed, Carbon probably being the best of the 360 crop - however Underground 2 (Xbox original) is probably the finest NFS of all time and can be picked up cheaply. Another option is GRID, no real tuning opportunities but it is a fun, diverse racing game. Import Tuner Challenge - A horrible horrible street racing game. Addition - Hi all, after a comment about lack of detail I feel I should add a little more and apologies for the somewhat lacklustre review, but the game genuinely is so dull I had trouble talking about it. Here goes... The graphics are shocking - what we all need to understand is that the 360 is a tremendously powerful console with really extraordinary possibilities. Forza, GRID, NFS are some racing games which really make use of some of the graphical power that is possible. Import Tuner does not. It reminds me of an XBox original, which is almost criminal considering the power that is on offer... The car options are minimal, modification is possible, but the driving feels dull and unresponsive. The gameplay is repetitive and without any real purpose or reward. Let's give it a miss.
