Advantages: Easy game play, huge replay value, familiar scenes in Lego animation, mutliplayer

Disadvantages: The game doesn't feel long enough, but it might be because I'm potty for Potter ;p

Nicely tying up the end of the Harry Potter story in the game world, we finally receive Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7.
It's always a pleasure to play Lego XYZ games, due to the hilarious familiar scenes rendered almost perfectly as Lego characters.

There are some really great parts in this game which make the replay value all the greater, from Ron Weasly wearing brown pants, to Professor Moody being stuck head first in a fountain with his legs wiggling in the air.

The graphics are a notch up from the Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, with greater definition, additional sparkles to the magic, and nicer textures.

There are a lot more spells available in 5-7, with user controlled elements (no longer just pointing and activating the spell, but tracing using the Diffindo Spell, accurate aiming with the Aguamenti spell etc), and many of the firm favourites from the previous game (hooray for making heads all bloaty and big!)

It has to be said, the Three Brothers part is done really well, allowing you to take control of them and use each of their gifts from Death to reach the end of the story in Tales of Beedle the Bard. It plays as though you are in a pop up book, which was a really surprising touch.

One of the best things about the game is going through Freeplay as a Dark Wizard and mopping up extra characters and Crest Shields, which is considerably easier in this game since you unlock a Dark Wizard character token as part of the main storyline.

The music is great, as all the most memorable scores from the films are put into the game, and even though they loop and play constantly, it doesn't get tiring or boring, because the music is so beautiful anyway.

The game is good for almost everyone, as it requires little skill, it's easy, it replicates every scene almost exactly (apart from the scene where Snape dies, since it's a 3+ game, and a dirty great snake chomps the spit out of him). Even those who have never experienced anything remotely Harry Potter, (which would be a bit weird since it's one of the biggest franchises on the planet now,) would find these games easy and hopefully enjoyable.

Summary: Worth getting for the real Lego Harry Potter pieces that come with some packs
