      Great introduction to this genre if you're a newcomer to footie management games

      I believe game consoles are always going to struggle when it comes to creating a football management game, On saying that this is a good attempt, it is just lacking in depth and realism which is understandable.
      I feel the game's interface is perfect and so easy to navigate to your desired area, it doesn't try to overcomplicate, which, to me means this would be ideal for someone who hasn't played management games before as this would be a good first step to start with before moving onto a more complex management sim.

      ::: Match mode :::
      Matches can be skipped to an instant result or watched in 3D, the 3D match engine does get quite repetitive after a while and in my opinion needs some work within a few areas of it, such as Player's AI.

      ::: Football One :::
      This is basically a news centre but it is a nice touch to the game, has plenty of information regarding transfers, results and league tables. Also has newflashes which are in 3D usually based around transfers, new managers and awards.

      One of the best features to this game is the ability to create your own fantasy football club which you can use in any of the playable leagues, you choose the team name, colours and create your squad via a fantasy type format were basically you have a budget to spend on whichever players you feel.

      ::: Overall :::
      I'd imagine the more experienced players of this genre will probably give it a miss due to lack of depth and options but for someone looking to give it a go for the first time it's a nice introduction to these types of games. Personally I think it's still a decent game and very playable it's just a shame certain features let it down overall.

      Worth taking a look if you find it in the bargain bin

      I found this game for a mere £2.98 at shopto.net so thought I'd pick it up - I mean come on, an Xbox 360 game for less than 3 quid is an absolute bargain in anybody's eyes.

      I see why, now, it was priced so low. Because this game was made in 2006 it has very outdated teams, which is very disorientating when the whole game is based on managing a club for up to 20 years. I mean, how hard would it be to provide a small update each year? I don't think it would be difficult, and it'd sure make this game worthy of a purchase in 2010.

      Probably the most interesting feature of LMA Manager 2007 is the 3d game engine, which allows you to actually watch your players in action. I've always thought this would be good in manager games, but it doesn't really work. Although the graphics are satisfactory, the players make stupid mistakes, such as kicking the ball out of play when they aren't even under pressure from the opposing team. Other glitches include the goalkeeper not catching the ball or just watching it roll in.

      Despite the above, the presentation of the game is very well polished and the menus look great and are very easy to navigate between. It's just a shame Codemasters decided not to update the transfers etc. and not to fix the frankly poor match simulations.

      If you really like Football Manager games, and don't mind the outdated teams than I'd say this just about worth picking up from the bargain bin.

      A great football manager that is slightly less in depth so actually more enjoyable

      I used to have an XBOX 360 and this was one of the first games I got for this console and truly loved the game as it was unlike a lot of football manager games on the market (Football Manager, Championship Manager, etc) in that you actually sit and watch the match being played out.
      The game is well designed with easy to use menus and good user interface and offers the user the chance to manage a large variety of the club of your choice. When setting out in management you will have to choose carefully in many aspects including tactics, signings, finance, etc and possibly one of the best parts of the game is that you have the chance to build brand new stadiums or upgrade your existing stadium to allow you a larger amount of spectators and so ensuring that you have much more financial power as more fans equals more income for your club. The game is not as in-depth as many in relation to substitutions and tactical changes making a big difference to results but this does not detract from the game.
      All in all a game which is enjoyable and easy to get used to for those who enjoy managing there favourite football club to glory.

      I want it... with an update every year!!

      This game wasnt too bad! I enjoyed this a lot, but I havent seen any further titles in the franchise.

      The only games that are in the genre of this game, though, are really only Football Manager, and they were discountinued on the Xbox because the makers, Sports Interactive, thought the control of the game was too hard with a console control pad.

      LMA didnt have that problem. The layout was neat, the game itself was enjoyable, and the controls were simple.

      The only problem people might have buying this game now, is playing with the old roster of players from 2006/2007. And given that games arent normally updated continuously (which would have been a neat idea, if this was to be the last in the LMA games) you will probably end up with an update as late as Summer 2007. A shame, because this game really did rock.

      On information regarding the franchise, nobody knows what will happen, and if a 2009 or 2010 version could be in the works. 2008 saw a Mobile only game, but no PC, Xbox or PS game.

      Personally, I would like to see the same game with a new roster, and a new colour scheme.

      Still, LMA Manager 2007 is possibly the most fun I have had on a Managing game since Premier Manager 1998.
