Advantages: Good at first, could be improved for a very good sequel
Disadvantages: Average graphics and gameplay, repetitive
LOTR: Conquest, is a take on a Lord of The Rings game in a battlefront gameplay style. It has a lot of potential to it, but in my view, it doesn't do as well as it could. There is certainly space for many improvements in this game, if it does successfully achieve a sequel, which it probably wont.
~Gameplay~
While the gameplay is at first entertaining and enjoyable, after a time it actually becomes quite limited. There are only a few different attack types for players to use, and not many combos to use either. In star wars battlefront there are a variety of different combos, but it's limited here. When the game does start becoming repetitive, players will find that they are just playing the game to achieve xbox award points (they are actually very easy to gain, players just need to undertake easy challenges like head shooting opponents three times with an archer)
~Graphics~
While the graphics are certainly good, they are nothing special by the standards of the Xbox 360, only average, do not expect anything special to happen here. Some of the landscapes are nice, as are the players, but it still looks far too computer generated, and not realistic enough like many xbox games are now becoming, there is work to be done here.
~Story~
In the story mode, players have to do about 15 levels for the good side, and then another 15 for evil. While these are entertaining while they last, there is not really anything left in the game once they have all been completed, only an entertaining multiplayer mode with friends, but you wont find yourself really wanting to play any games without a friend once the story has been completed.
So to sum up, this game has a few good points, but not really enough of them. It's an exhilarating experience at first, but sadly this does not last. I would not recommend this game, unless you can find it for a price under £20, in which case I would have to say it would be worth it.
Summary: Wait for the next one to come out
