Advantages: LOTR game, Interesting classes and heroes

Disadvantages: Shooting arrows is just not the same as a sniper

The lord of the rings movies have come and gone and so have some good games. Years later EA have released the LOTR Conquest a Battlefield/ Star WArs Battlefront type game.
Gameplay involves two faction on a map with a number of map points or flags. There is a ticket pool and up to 32 player (bots or players) on each side and they battle it out to capture these points and deplete the opposing factions ticket pool. Although the game play sounds complicated it has worked in the passt with the Battlefield series.

The LOTR Conquest has various different classes you can fight as and after obtaining x number of points can spawn as a hero. Map design is good as well as music but doesnt stand out in the game. Controls are decent with some decent moves but they lose interest over time
However where battlefield and battlefront have succeeded the LOTR conquest fails mainly because of its medieval style fighting compared to to guns and futuristic laser battles in the others. The graphics are decent and the campaign gives you the option for both factions yet there is alwasy something lacking.

Multiplayer is fun but only if you have dedicated gamers as it can get boring at times. This is a classic example of a game with decent part come together to make a less than average final product. A purchase only if you are a LOTR fan or like the battlefield sort of gameplay
