After reading the back of this item i was looking forward to playing it, i have never been so disappointed, the game is slow getting into not hard to play and the graphics arent the best compared to other xbox 360 games i have. All in all it was a very boring game i was glad to get rid of it!

The lord of the rings movies have come and gone and so have some good games. Years later EA have released the LOTR Conquest a Battlefield/ Star WArs Battlefront type game. Gameplay involves two faction on a map with a number of map points or flags. There is a ticket pool and up to 32 player (bots or players) on each side and they battle it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest (Xbox 360): About as much fun as being eaten by a Troll. If not less. (1884 words)

Lord of the Rings: Conquest I think I've said it way too many times now, but licensed games suck generally. There have been exceptions but yadda yadda yadda. It's been said before so I won't go on about it again. But what has rarely been stated before is that the games based on Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films were actually ...  Read the complete review

Being a fan of The Lord Of the Rings books and the films by Peter Jackson I was anticipating a much better game than this. Whilst trying to use the formula of Star Wars battlefront it seems that EA have created a game unworthy of J.R.R Tolkiens ingenious as the storymode is relatively easy to complete and the online is relatively poor. The ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest (Xbox 360): Relive the War of the Ring! (350 words)

Lord of the Rings Conquest is a game that promises to let you live the epic battles in the Tolkiens land of Middle Earth. The story mode follows that of the Lord of the Rings films and Hugo Weaving who is Elrond in the films narrates giving it an authentic feel. During the War of the Ring campaign you will take the fight to Mordor and ...  Read the complete review

I was disappointed when I bought this game to find that it was not nearly as good as it was hyped up to be or how I expected it to be. The game is based around the Lord of the Rings trilogy and there are two main modes available in the game: conquest and multiplayer. Starting with the conquest mode, this is a mission based mode which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest (Xbox 360): The great start doesn't last (355 words)

LOTR: Conquest, is a take on a Lord of The Rings game in a battlefront gameplay style. It has a lot of potential to it, but in my view, it doesn't do as well as it could. There is certainly space for many improvements in this game, if it does successfully achieve a sequel, which it probably wont. ~Gameplay~ While the gameplay is at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sorely disappointed (412 words)

To all intents and purposes, I feel as though I should like this game. All the elements are there - Lord of the Rings theme, big epic battles, several different character classes to play, recreated Lord of the Rings locations... so why can i just not bring myself to enjoy this game??? The general idea here is sound - just like the ...  Read the complete review

Lord Of The Rings: Conquest had a pretty good vibe from it when i first picked it up but i soon found that this game was repetative and only kept playing to rack up acheivements. Based on the ever popular 'Star Wars: Battlefront' series 'Pandemic' tried to create this on the same princibles but then only kept to the basics. The idea ...  Read the complete review

I've had mixed emotions about this game. I could be playing it and having the most fun ever, then suddenly realise, wow this is rubbish, and to be truthful, it is. Lord of the Rings conquest uses an upgraded version of the engine from the game Star Wars Battlefront 2 (or so it says) but puts a Lord of the Rings skin over the top. This ...  Read the complete review
