Not really being a big American football fan i bought this game on a whimm thinking it would be a bit of a change as well having a good laugh with my friends.

It only took me a few days to get a hang of the general buttons and how the game is played, but one of the good things about this game is that you can keep learning new things and new things for your players to do, it took me a few months to figure out to bat the ball away. But i did find that the basic controls were easy enough to pick up if you dont know anything about the game. Maddens in game help is also informative and gives you an idea of plays you should use for the situation you are in.

There is also various game modes for you to play, franchise mode takes your team through a season taking on various stages in the season. The draft, preseason during the season and road to the Superbowl. This can be fun although can be tedious if you do the same things all the time. I have also played the become a pro mode, this allows you to play as a rookie and make your way into the team your drafted into. This involve hiring an agent, training and playing games. I did find this mode to be fun at times and boring at others. You just seem to never get anywhere, training doesnt seem to improve you and the games can be boring if you never seem to do anything if you are on one of the outside positions.

The game looks very good and is very well presented to the gamer. On a HDTV the graphics are simply stunning and capitvate the audience. It is a fun game and provides many fun hours of gaming with friends.
