This game was a winner and a loser for me, but this is partly to do with me not understanding how the season mode works and also the general plays etc. This therefore, stopped me enjoying the season and also the occasional online game as if i played an American i would literally last about two seconds before conceding about ten touchdowns, at least i knew what they were! However, i still enjoyed various aspects of the game, and really really enjoyed playing my mates at this game as they knew almost less than me some how and therefore, i could beat them!!! As a Brit I don't get to watch NFL games very often so buying this game was quite risky for me, I wanted a sports game that kept me entertained for weeks yet wanted a game which wasn't too pricey too. NFL 09 fit the bill perfectly. Gameplay: For someone who didn't know what they were doing when they first bought the game, it didn't take long to figure it out with the difficulty settings and unique playcalling ranging from Easy to Advanced, guiding you through the basics until you're an NFL pro. Madden '93 on the Super Nintendo was the first American Football game I ever played, and it remains a classic series that tends to get better with every year. After a slightly disappointing 2008 release, Madden 09 is back to its best. On the 360, Madden's incredible graphics shine through, and although it's cliche, my Mum did actually ask whether I was watching a real life game or playing on the Xbox, so realistic are the stadiums, players and kits.
