An excellent racing game for the whole family, PGR4 offers a racing career mode, an arcade mode, multiplayer and on line game modes.

The graphics are awesome, the detail in each track is breath taking. Personal favourites would have to be the London tracks or the Shanghai tracks both completely different but both challenging and fun.

The selection of cars on offer is very extensive offering a wide range from Mini Cooper's in the slowest car class (G) to Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Caparo T1 or various high powered super cars in class (A). PGR4 also offers a chance to ride high powered bikes such as Ducati, F4 Senna, Yamaha and many more.

Each car and bike handles completely differently and will test your skill to control them at speeds reaching over 200 mph especially the cars and bikes in the class (A)!

The game offers a wide range of 66 achievements to collect totalling over 1000+ points.

To add to a great game there are 2 really good downloads for PGR4 which you can get from Xbox live market place. The first is a free download offering new cars and more achievements to collect. The 2nd download costs 400 Microsoft points (£3.50ish) and has even more cars/bikes, more arcade challenge modes, online multiplayer modes and more achievements and more tracks.

To get the most out of this game you can choose the difficulty setting which best suits your ability ranging from Steel which is the easy setting, to Platinum which is advanced/Expert. Changing the difficulty setting still allows you to get all or most of the achievements.

The game can be purchased now for as little as £7-8 second hand from places like Ebay, CEX. Or purchased new from £11.99 from Amazon which is still a steal for a quality racing game.

I really enjoyed playing this game, it's so easy to pick up and play controls are simple, it kept me playing for weeks on end. Fantastic graphics, loads of cars and bikes, loads of tracks, challenging game modes what else could you ask for?
