A fun all round game with a simple style but stylish weapons with a simple result.

About - Red Faction games first mined their way into our shops in 2001. The technology behind the game was unheard of.
You could use weapons or machinery to tunnel through rock faces until one becomes bored. This was a very unique feature but rather aimless.

Introduction- The new Red faction Armageddon is slightly different to this. You could initially say there is less destruction. But as you make your way through the doors you soon realise this is not the case.

Game play- All buildings, staircases, walkways, towers, doors, bridges and any other man made structures can and most probably... will be blown-up, knocked down or particulatedly disintegrated by the use of a Singularity cannon. (Always cool) ...and then rebuilt if so wished.

This is done by a nifty little arm band that uses Nano technology to rebuild anything that once stood, and does so in a very cool looking way indeed.

The story line is basic and simply there to give you a reason to move on to the next section to blow more stuff up. The graphics are there but the textures not always, but when taking into account the processing destruction involved. You can't really quiver. Overall it's a good looking game.

The multiplayer side of things is a basic 'wave & defend' style but allows the ability for players to earn better power ups. It certainly is good for a few hours playing with mates. One shoots, the other frantically rebuilds the structure you both hide in. (just be careful not to RPG your own hide out's main support structure...it's not cool)

There is a considerable collection of weapons to choose from: hammers, rocket launchers, machine guns, singularity cannons and rifles. Nearly all of which have a primary and secondary firing button.
Each weapon has a particular use. If you see the enemies' standing on their lovely secure platform which is just off your line of fire...don't threat. Erode the platform from below to watch them fall perfectly at your feet. (tip - then get out the hammer ;)

      Likes- Weapons and effectiveness
Dislikes- Not a huge range of Aliens
Cool features- The destruction left behind after a fire fight

      Hope this helps!
