MTV, Harmonix and EA have grouped together to make one of the best co-op games ever. When Harmonix anounced that they were moving away from Red Octane to produce this game, I knew I must buy it. The Music. There are 58 songs on the disc and range from different types of rock music. From softer rock like R.E.M. and Radiohead to heavy rock such as Iron Maiden, every song is fun to play. 51 of them are master recordings. All the music is well charted so it actually feels like you are playing the notes and if you know the songs, this makes it even easier as the notes are well timed. As well as the 58 standard songs, there are a pool of downloadable ... Read the complete review

Get ready to spend a lot of time playing this game with your friends as it is really addictive and so much fun! One of the best things about it is that it is appealing to people who do not normally play computer games and you do not have to be musical to enjoy playing it either so it is a great way to get lots of people involved. To play the game you need a set of instruments which can be purchased as a bundle with the game or separately. A full set comprises 2 guitars (one for the bass player and one for the lead guitarist), a drum kit and a microphone. The object of the game is to play songs as a band and to hit as many correct notes as possible ... Read the complete review

Are you ready to rock? From Harmonix and MTV comes the first chance to rock out in your living room in your very own rock band. Rock Band, is without a doubt the best music sim game around at the moment. The chance to rock out in a full band if you have all the instruments, guitar, bass, drums and microphone. Or you can take on the world as a Solo Artist on any instrument. It re-uses the same gameplay type elements which you may have seen before in the Guitar Hero series. Where players must hit notes in time with the scrolling colours on screen, at first its a bit tricky, but you soon get used to it. If you're playing in a full ... Read the complete review

Note: I will review the game in this review and you can find the instruments review under 'Rock Band Bundle' --- Modes --- - Tutorial: Nice place to start to help walk you through the game - Practice: Great for those really tough songs, helps to break songs up to get the hang of tricky bits - Quickplay Mode - great for just pickup and play any song off your setlist - Solo Tour Mode - play setlists in different cities (to unlock more) then move on to the different countries as you ascend to rock stardom. - Band World Tour - set up a band with your friends on or offline and play your way around the world ... In this review i shall just talk about the game as a whole not really specific instruments. Rock Band is a rhythm based game which requires you to make the colours of any given instrument to the ones on screen whether your playing the guitar, bass or the drums. If you are on vocals the words and pitch will appear on screen and you have to sing along in time and in tune! The game by default boasts a whopping 84 different songs and these are plenty to keep you going. But, if you feel that urge to download that song you jammed out to pack in 1970's then just add some Live points to your account and then you can pick from hundreds and hundreds of ...
