      Very helpful

A great game which is great for showing off at parties and feeling like a rock God

Rocksmith is a new, fun and exciting way for new players to learn guitar, besides this, Rocksmith also allows guitarists of higher abilities to better improve new and existing guitar skills through the in-game guitarcade which features many arcade style mini-games to help with finding frets, chords, and practicing slides, hammer ons and pull offs, harmonics, scales and other key guitar skills that any aspiring guitarist should know and learn.
The song list to this title has a variety of new and older, but recognizable songs. However i sometimes felt that the list could have been spread out with a wider variety of genres besides focusing on the Rock side. I am aware of this game specifically focusing on teaching rock styles and making the user feel like a rock star however this may just be who feels that there could have been a wider song variety. Many new songs can be purchased through the online stores like the Xbox marketplace and PSN Store to better prepare you rock arsenal for kickass concerts and rocking out like a star. But this can come at a pretty penny for a few songs. But i guess you could spare some drug money from your rock star life.
The play style to this game is very focused to the person playing as this game manages to adapt to the users level of guitar play and improves in difficulty throughout songs as you improve in playing the songs.
the game will try and encourage you to try and play songs with added chords and notes so you don't feel left in a corner on the easiest difficulty to scared to move onto anything harder, although if some songs feel impossible to play (Like with some i'm facing at the moment) There are some options just to tone it down a little, or if you don't feel like doing this there is a training mode, like with other guitar style games, to work through tough verses or solos so you can carry on rocking. However i sometimes felt a bit confused by the training mode and didn't feel like there was much there to help me learn certain parts of the songs i guess it kind of helped me a little to find the positioning of my hands and where to play the fretted notes and chords to re-assure myself when rocking out on stage.
Overall rocksmith is a fun new way to learn and play guitar through this new style of progressive difficulty and own paced playing. While there could be a wider variety of song genre and track purchases could be cheaper this game manages to make you feel like a rock icon in minutes.
