Advantages: Engine is ok, voice acting is alright but everything else is really average

Disadvantages: Idols. I've never been so close to a major rage quit playing a children's game, it's that annoying.

You'd think being a children's Xbox game this would be easy, or at least be calm, relaxing, simple, easy to understand or even well built. This is none of those things.

The graphics are quite good for a kids game, the waves don't look real but the rocks, foliage and what not actually looks quite good considering this is for children. The physics aren't too bad either, I know it's an unrealistic cartoon so I'll let it off for a few gravity issues but landing on waves and hitting other players works quite well, and you get a shock rumble in your controller. I've never fallen into other objects, so they either tested the game thoroughly or at least bothered to render the objects and AI properly.

Glitches and bugs are where this game gets it's worst marks from. When surfing along a wave the game pushes you into objects like rocks or into the middle of the water which doesn't give you much room to move or eventually you crash for no obvious reason. The sheer number of crashes i've had from the game pushing me into objects or spawning me in front of rocks and what not is well into the hundreds and really makes this game more difficult than it needs to be.

The missions really grind on and eventually just get repetitive. You play as characters from the movie and can play as Elliot from Open Season, and this does make it interesting for children but this is the only variety. You ride waves, spend about 3-6 minutes on each mission and try to get from one end of the map to the other without crashing, and gaining as much points as you can from doing stunts along the way. That's it, and nothing more, so it seems easy but it doesn't challenge kids.

The absolute pain in the backside part of this game is collecting the idols. Forget all the other bad stuff I've said, this alone is the single most thing that made me nearly through the game at the wall, it really was that bad. They are so hard to get and if you miss a single one you have to keep repeating the same missions over and over and over until you collect it, since you can't surf backwards.

Overall this is a pretty average game. It's an easy 1000G, the physics are ok, the voice acting is ok, the variety is same old same old and the idols are such a pain in the backside you WILL rage quit I fully guarantee it. Score hunters beware, this game grinds on and children beware, this game is challenging and lacks variety. Not recommended.

Summary: Average really, not bad, not good but score hunters beware the idols are very annoying!
