This game has the look of quality about it however it is let down a bit by some problems in the game play. Visually it is really impressive and the 360 is a great platform to play it on. The players are really detailed and the attention to detail does not end there, even the coaches and crowd are really detailed as well.
The problem comes about with some of the movement of the players, at times it is like they are wearing uniforms made from velcro as they appear to stick together and also the ball movement through the air at times just seems to speed up or slow down. It is a real disappointment and is something that should have been picked up before the game ever came for release.
The controls are pretty easy to master and will be familiar to those who have played previous versions however the one glaring howler is the free throw mechanic. You haveto pull back with the right stick and then go forward in a straight line and it is really hard which means that your percentages from the free throw line are jst not realistic compared with the pro game.
The other big disappointment with this game is the total lack of a franchise mode, you can play season mode and on-line and apat from practice that is just about it. So although there are whole seasons to complete the lack of a franchise mode restricts the game play available.
Personally there are enough faults with this game to mean that I would not recommend it, at best it is a two star game.
