The Darkness is first person shooter set in the grimey underworld of new york city. Not only you are a gangster taking his share in new yorks crime trade but you are also part deamon, and get to use your dark powers to held you take down your rivals.
Whether you like the satanic storyline or not is a matter of opinion but the actual story itself is quite clever and in addition to this the cinematic cutscenes really do the game testiment. The graphics in the game itself are good as well but most of the time these are shadowed by the fact you spend most of your time in the shadows.

The gameplay is good and your dark powers add variety, so you are able to do quite a lot of cool stuff with them. Shooting little slimey things out of your mouth and using them in first person to take down your enimies covertly, is just a one of the many powers your character is attributed with.
The enimies you face are classic to a genre such as this and there is nothing special regarding this aspect.

I like this game and would recommend it, though it can get a bit repetitive because you don't have a lot of freedom.
