In terms of platforming I was impressed that the game worked well with decent jumping and special powers. The gameplay is pretty generic and the camera was not always placed in the best viewpoint, but in a climate were so few games of this type are made this remains one of the best platform game on the 360 in terms of actual platforming. There is only one type of gamer that comes close to being as lonely as the fan of the point and click adventure and that is a fan of the humble platformer. In the days of the Megadrive, Amiga and Super Nintendo you could not move for top quality platforming games. Such iconic heroes as Mario, Sonic and Zool ; ) all have their origins here. Even the Playstation 1 had its fair share of the genre with 'Medievil' and 'Ape Escape' to name two. However, sine the PS2 and Xbox the number of platform games has dropped dramatically with the First Person Shooter dominating the market. Even platformers such as 'Jak and Daxter' have morphed into more action games. Therefore, ...

Through the years, there have been many games based on the Simpsons and then finally, with the latest instalment, aptly named The Simpsons Game, has hit it right on the nail, with many hours of great game play with a unique story away from the series. Being able to play as the entire Simpsons family, you travel through the majority of Springfield, where you'll see all your favourite characters, plus some exclusive to the game. The aim of the Simpsons game is to save Springfield from videogame purgatory, as you travel through many different style of levels, and be able to meet some notable faces in the gaming world. The 360 seems to lack any light hearted games. Sure, there’s Kameo, but that’s really it. That’s changed when The Simpsons Game hit stores last week. The Simpsons is one of the best cartoons ever made, but that’s never seemed to make a good game for them. Lame boxing sims, mediocre Crazy Taxi rip-offs and terrible skateboarding games starring the family are just to start with-the list doesn’t end. And licensed games aren’t exactly the greatest either, with lame movie tie-ins, mediocre comic book translations and other junk. Visually stunning, excellent online, Not really designed for solo play.

Good soundtrack, decent variety for online play. Love them or hate them graphics, not enough variety for tricks, no story mode/campaign.

Excellent shoot em up, cool graphics and great online. Not as good as COD4. But not many are in the genre.

Good gameplay and is ecellent fun Dosen't last long, multi-player could be better, lack of variety

Excellent graphics, fast paced racing and hours of fun. Could have done with more cars.

A plethora of new features, brilliant online play, new commentary team works well. Graphics haven't been improved since previous installments, a dissapointing achievement list.
