Rainbow Six is definitely a game holding it's reputation. It has great story which grips you by the face and refuses to let go until you not only say uncle, but also name him!

With that said, there was a few quirks in this game which I didn't find at all to my liking. Rainbow Six attempts to bring vocal commands into play, letting players with headsets give orders real time so that the troops alongside you can move and behave accordingly.

In theory this is a brilliant idea. What better way to submerge yourself in the game then by this? But the reality is this system is heavily flawed and it LOVES to totally disregard what you were saying and then improvise.

I would often hear my own brother downstairs shouting "FOR GOD'S SAKE, COVER, I SAID COVER!" Then i'd hear the TV go "We can't go there!" followed swiftly by what sounded like a controller making harsh impact with the wall and the sobs of a grown man.

Following that train of thought, the AI could also use a bit of tweaking. I would have loved the partners to be able to determine if what I said was a good idea. Like walking into the middle of the battlefield, many would frown on this, but not my troops.

They'd not only advance, but they'd advance in the very middle of the whole gun fight. Rifle raise, they'd swivel around as if everything was going to be okay.

poor buggers.

Taking this out of the equation Rainbow Six offers what it's known for. Action, lots of it. Though the shooting and fighting system doesn't shine to me, or offer anything i've never seen before, it's one of the higher grade shooters out there.
